Is there a reason jumping still canceled the autorun for me? I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong.

You're not the only one. Jumping definitely breaks auto-run for me too.
It also plays funky with sneak. The mod I used before this would make you stop moving when stamina dropped to the percentage and then restart sneaking once it refilled. With this mod, it currently ends sneak just as if you weren't auto-running at all, and suddenly you're moving normally. Gotten me in trouble a time or two...

Yeah sorry, this probably needs updating to work with more recent versions of the game and to fix bugs. I've just not had time to do so. I'll try and take a look over the coming weekend.

From the perspective of usability, a nearly perfect mod. After the addition of jump to the autorun, it became REQUIRED.*

    * Comments are for a two-player server, where I haven't noticed autorun doing particular harm to our chat onversations.

Not sure if this is being worked on anymore, but I just wanted to report that typing in chat and hitting either the W or S key stops autorun.

Not important in single player, but in multiplayer it pretty much makes you unable to chat and autorun, which I find myself doing extremely frequently.

Interesting. Just to confirm, that doesn't happen with vanilla autorun? If I find some time, I might look into updating to resolve this.

Yeah, made sure to test before commenting, I should've clarified.  You don't get stopped when typing in vanilla.

The other autorun mod has the same defect as well.

Is this a client-sided mod or server wide?

I think it's client-sided, haven't tested it with other players though

Would you mind if I uploaded your mod to the thunderstore, giving you credit of course? There's a version up there already but it's the old version. Thanks for this amazing mod!

I think the one on the Thunderstorm might actually be a similar mod by someone else.

But regardless, I'll upload my version there later/tomorrow.

I first thought it wasn't working, but I thought this mod also just gave a toggle run in general instead of only with autorun.
But now I figured it out it helps out very nicely!

Doesn't work well with controller, for toggling off/on/walk/run.

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn it on/of via controller. It would be nice if it toggled walking, and we could toggle running separately.

I use a controller since I can't play the game w/keyboard & mouse due to wrist pain. Autowalk/Run would be a godsend!

    Suggestion/Request:

    • Allow controller to toggle walk/run
    • Allow controller to turn on/off auto walk/run

Does this work with a controller in any capacity?

It should do as the mod operates after input has been taken. In other words, it's doesn't care about where the input has come from. That said, I've not tested it with a controller other than the good old keyboard+mouse so I can't guarantee it :)
