I've installed BepInEXPackValheim and this mod, but whenever I try to drag Expertmode.dll into denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim-5.4.1901.zip\BepInExPack_Valheim\BepInEx\plugins it just won't go in? After dragging the .dll failed I tried dragging the whole folder instead of the .dll but it doesn't seem to work... I'm new to modding and not sure If I'm doing something wrong?
Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to tie the "distance from spawn" to the level of the enemy? So the further you go, the higher the star rating of enemies.
Not sure what's up, but I have a certain problem where all individual enemies I have set to level 3** are spawning as level 2* on rare occasion. I don't mind at all, but I assume there may be something wrong with the mod or maybe the circumstances allowing them to spawn. Global difficulty and loot setting = 0, all individual loot settings = 0 and the individual difficulty settings = 3. The enemies I've seen as 2* while I have them set as 3** are Neck, Boar, Deer, Shaman, and Surtlings.
Again, I don't mind and in fact prefer the variety, but I assume it's a serious bug.
Is there a way to make a specific enemy spawn at all level ranges? The reason I ask is because it seems the 2 star serpents only spawn at night and despawn as soon as it's day, therefore there are no serpents at all during the day when setting their level to 3. I would like to at least have the default level serpents back during the day. The ocean feels very empty now. :(
Hey, excellent work. I got a quick question though - if I set the level to 1 star does it mean that all enemies will always spawn at 1 star or that 1 star is the base level but an occasional 2 star enemy can still spawn? Would love to basically eliminate 0 star mobs and only have 1 and 2 star appear.
This mod overwrites the mob levels with a specific value, so the mobs will not differ in level (unless configured to be different per mob in configs.) if global_level is set to 2 in the configs, then all mobs will spawn at 1 star or you can set global_level to 3 (which is the default), them mobs will always spawn at 2 stars
Could I eliminate say 0 star wolves by doing the following? And just have the game pick between 1 and 2 star? thanks
## What level should Wolf(s) spawn at? ## Set above 0 to override the global_level for Wolf(s) only. ## # Setting type: Int32 # Default value: 0 # Acceptable value range: From 0 to 2147483647 Wolf_level_override = 2

Did you try it with your game yet? I tried it on boars and for a moment thought it worked when I saw 1 one star... out of like almost 100 two stars so thought it was possible but just ultra favored higher number. lol Then when I looked at config file again it had erased the 1 star entry and just had the 2 star so idk guess the single 1 star I saw was just a fluke. Would really love to see the ability to have the range of 1-2 star spawns instead of just one or the other, hope someone will figure it out because I have no clue with this type stuff lol If I luck on a solution myself though I'll post back.
Do appreciate the mod even with the limitation though, love having all Trolls at 2 star, because I like it better when ALL Trolls are scary and approached with caution, especially early game. xD
Mobs will save at whatever level they were at. So, for example, if you set mobs to 2 stars, saved/closed the game, removed the mod, then loaded the world again. Any mobs that were switched to level 2 will stay level 2. But any new mobs loaded will follow the normal game rules.
If looking to get rid of the boosted enemy level, i would suggest stopping the game, modifying the config file so both global_level and global_loot_level are set to 1, start the game and join the world, then save/close the game, and remove the mod. Now enemies the you loaded should be at 0stars.
Just keep in mind if there were any mobs that your game did no load, they will still be the increased star level. For example: you explored the other side of the world with the mod enabled. but didn't revisit with the reduced config. There is not much i can do about this.

I tie into when an enemy is loaded and set the level at that time.
