Changelogs
Version 3.2
- Updated the mod to Better Continents 0.62
- Improvements to heighmap and biomesmap based on user feedback
- Think i got most weird pockets of swamp and mistlands appearing where they shouldn't
- Made a few meters of buffer between biomes and the ocean to decrease huge waves inland
- Decreased huge unnatural cliffs in mountains (always WIP but think i got most of them now)
- Added some more bumpness to terrain to make the land a bit less flat in general
- Confined mislands to Pyandonea and ashlands to red mountain in Vvardenfell since those are placeholder biomes that don't add anything for now anyway
Version 3.1
- Updated the mod to Better Continents 0.61
- Small changes to height and biomes map focusing on making mountains better looking and a bit lower in general
- Improved some islands around Tamriel that looked horrendous due to bad heightmap on previous version.
Version 3.0
- Updated the mod to Better Continents 0.5
- Small changes to Heightmap to improve the look of coasts and a few islands, the height of mountains and added a new river to Cyrodiil.
- Improved the biomes map, mainly the mountain ranges so they are a bit more numerous and resemble better the ones from the official games, remade most of the forests, changed the hot springs area of eastmarch from plains to swamp to match it better, adjusted the swamps of Black Marsh.
Version 2.51
- This makes no change beyond removing the island of Issgard that i just found is not part of official lore so if you don't care about a mod-added island in the map there is no need to upgrade to this version.
Version 2.5
- Tamriel was kept the same, only improved a bit the height of a few islands that were underwater before.
- Added Pyandonea to the south, the tip of Atmora to the north and the islands of Issgard, Roscrea, Cathnoquey, Yneslea and Esroniet.
Version 2.0
- Mod rebuild from the ground up with a stupidly more detailed and higher-res heightmap, credits to LadyNerevar which is a bastion of the TES community since forever for creating the heightmap and sharing with the community for free on her Patreon!
- Many more rivers/waterways than the previous version, basically all from the official games + a few more from fan maps to make it easier to move around on the massive continent and because rivers and sailing are just cool in this game :P, on the same vein some rivers ended far too close to each other from both sides so i just connected them to have more ways to sail around, may do with a few more too in future updates.
- Tried to make the biomes more diverse and mixed in some places while still keeping as close as possible to overall Tamriel's geography.
- Tried to improve the mountain ranges a bit, still far from ideal and Valheim add it's own height/bumpness on top of the heightmap but it looks much more natural in a few places while others still looks vertical AF (coof coof High Hrothgar), it's an ongoing process to improve this.
