    Version 3.2:

BEWARE, it's a complete rebuild of the worldmap so progress won't carry over, if you replace the previous version it'll be like starting again in this map.

    - Updated the mod to Better Continents 0.62
    - Improvements to heighmap and biomesmap based on user feedback
    - Think i got most weird pockets of swamp and mistlands appearing where they shouldn't
    - Made a few meters of buffer between biomes and the ocean to decrease huge waves inland
    - Decreased huge unnatural cliffs in mountains (always WIP but think i got most of them now)
    - Added some more bumpness to terrain to make the land a bit less flat in general
    - Confined mistlands to Pyandonea and ashlands to red mountain in Vvardenfell since those are placeholder biomes that don't add anything for now anyway

I flied around to check if most places looked good enough but i didn't checked every nook and cranny of course, if anyone finds somewhere that looks completely out of place/ridiculous please comment about it so i can note and improve in the next version, this is a fan-project after all :)

Also only spawn i manually placed is the player one in the imperial city's isle, want to keep the rest a surprise even to myself since we know the shape of the land already.

    >>> >>> KNOWN ISSUES <<< <<<

    - Since the land-to-water ratio is much bigger in Tamriel compared to vanilla Valheim maps it has roughly the same amount of content and places of interest but they are spread farther apart from each other so some places will seem more "empty" of structures, caves, towers etc compared to a normal map generated by the game, nothing that can be done on this front for now unless someone develops a way to force the map generation to place more objects in the world map than the vanilla max.

The game usually places things like 400 sunken crypts, 50 stone towers type 1, 50 stone towers type 2, 200 Fuling camps and so on spread across all valid landmass (some times a bit less, each world generation is different when building the map).

Normal maps have much more ocean so these places get more concentrated in the islands, Tamriel is like one big landmass with a few islands and the ocean around it, all community maps with bigger landmasses "suffer" from this.

Myself, personally i kinda like it cause it makes you explore more and i like this sense of grand-adventure but i know it's not to everyone's tastes, the enemies are still randomly generated on the spot except those larger groups that inhabit those places of interest so no changes in this.

@iamHarvey do you just place the files in the folder and it works or do i need to generate it myself to get it working correctly?

    no mistlands?
cool map, ive did a play on it before

my suggestion would be to find a map to add more variety of each biome - or at least for now add a good chunk and/or chunks of mistlands

The map was last updated last year long long before mistlands, i'm not playing valheim right now so i dropped the work on it but anyone can feel free to take up the torch and update/do their own version of the map, all source files to edit are in the downloads :)

Does this map contain the new Mountain Caves? Any issues with the newest update?

I've not updated this in a long time, it'll not contain the new mountain caves unless the game auto-updates the map to include them, don't know if it's doing that for modded maps like is does to existing saves though, would have to try out.

I've generated the map in the most recent version of better continents. I'm adding spawns for certain locations in Tamriel to make it easier to find landmarks. I'm also going to try to include a zones files for world of valheim zones to help delineate the different regions. Please let me know if you'd like to collaborate or if you don't mind me reuploading with my changes as a separate mod.

Oh nice, it's been a while since i've updated the mod, got a bit out of time and ideas for now and decided to wait for new Valheim updates :P

I would love to see your take on it and feel free to modify anything to your hearts content, i don't mind at all if you want to release it as a separated version, modding is sharing works of love with the community to improve everyone's games after all

Cheers my friend! So far I've got the trader placed in a few possible locations that make sense based on ESO, and then several boss locations based on the lore that make sense. Once I confirm those are working, I'm going to add either village or draugr village spawns to every primary city and town so I can find the x,y of each location and create a zone the tells you when you're entering a new nation, region, and city. feel free to add me on discord and I'll share my work with you. https://discord.gg/vBeyp58s

Is this altered version available for download anywhere? Discord link appears to be expired. I'd LOVE to see how this project has progressed.

I want to thank you for all your work and sharing this. This is an awesome world, you did a fantastic job. I am a TESO player and that was my introduction to Tamriel, not Skyrim, so my frame of reference is a thousand years earlier than your world and my friend who has played all the other games took me on a tour through it to show me what has changed, and it was so much fun. The crater where Vivec City used to be actually made me feel sad. Great work and very generous of you, thanks again!

I think it'd be cool if there was a map making software for Valheim like what WorldPainter is for Minecraft, can't find anything like that, please help me. :(
