hey, does this map still work? I've been trying to get it to work for a few hours now and it shows up as [BAD VERSION] in vanilla and won't show up at all when I start it in modded
I think it'd be cool if there was a map making software for Valheim like what WorldPainter is for Minecraft, can't find anything like that, please help me. :(
Quick question, we are doing a dedicated server, we have it working but we also have one small issue
Sometimes when we log in, we get the wrong map. Then next time they log in, correct map. I can even be right next to them, see them ingame, they see an ocean, but were actually on land.
Nice map. In next update maybe put some more work in to creating Denmark. There are some faults and i think you put an island the wrong place :P (langeland) It should be between Fyn and Falster. But its placed beside Sweden :P
Yeah Langeland and part of where Odense is got wiped out by random generation and got placed over by rivers, I'll have to redo it later once I'm finished with actually doing the Denmark map.
idk if it's only me but most of the game instances like stones, trees, caves are above ground. Trees will eventually fall back to ground level but caves and stones do not.
Loaded the map 2x times and I have the same issue, this issue is not there with other custom maps.
Any chance of getting some help to getting this working on my Dedicated Server? I've already transfered my single player world successfully but when I follow the same procedure this World reverts to what it would look like without Better Continents and World Gen Mods.
Also while I am here, anyone tell me how to perma delete worlds from my AppData folder? They reappear after deleting them
The saves reappearing back is because of Steam Cloud saves putting the files back after you delete them.
As for the dedicated server, I don't have any experience with it but I thought I read If you put both the mods and the world files on the server and the people joining have the mods as well it should work.
Hello! love this map! i do have a question tho.. is it currently possible to flatten out the northern france/netherlands/northern germany/denmark area? and if yes, how would one go about doing that? ty =)
edit: Is is possible to make real life vulkanos into ashland areas in the map or cant you control the biome spawn like that?
Define "properly"? I did notice I messed up and the sea-level slider is in reverse, such that sea level 0% is actually as high as it will go. I will have fixed that in the next update (soon).
I grab greyscale height maps from google, get the correct size (usually 512x512) and format it in PNG (using GIMP) which should work but when I create a world its usually empty or warped. Not too sure what I am doing wrong.

Gave a nice valley effect. Having fun with this one!
Good to hear you're having fun!
OceanChannelsEnabled = false
And change HeightmapAdd = 0 to a higher or lower value and see how it changes the landmass.
Turn ridges blend to 0, and mess around with the SeaLevelAdjustment and HeightmapBlend values a bit.
