Havent noticed any issues whatsoever with mod compatibility, other than modded axes not receiving the 2nd attack. Are you able/willing to add compatibility for other mods? if so ill start a list of mods ive found that could use some patching
This is not a bug, it uses the same mechanics as the pickaxe, which if you're above elevation vs. the target you're hitting, you will do bonus damage. If you are at-elevation or below elevation you do reduced damage.
Stand on top of the stumps, or whatever target you're harvesting for strikes that do as much, or more damage than horizontal swings.
UPDATE. I think you need to add different dmg value for different tier of AXES. I just tried your lovely mod! i think its fair n balanced i spawned normal mobs especially goblins. tested with blackmetal axe. Overhead is not crazy op dmg like the sword poke(pierce dmg) but it does stun. Hitbox is somewhat okie but maybe cos its a direct overhead it makes it precise. need to test further as sometimes i whiff abit maybe cos of range detection.
I can try tweaking the hitboxes a bit, because there's some parameters in the attack that I didn't bother messing with. I'll try upping the damage on them, though. I copied the attack data straight from the original axe's attack and only tweaked a few settings, so the damage should be the same as those, but I'll check to see if there's some discrepancies.
Great mod, super useful. Little bit random request: could you give the pickaxe a secondary attack that is horizontal, basically the opposite of what you did to the axe?
My friends and I want to use it to attack when we're in the middle of mining lol
I'm a little hesitant about replacing the secondary attacks of weapons that already have them. I'll think about it, considering how common of a request this is.
Hate to be the guy who asks for stuff, but I made a halberd yesterday for the first time, an atgier, and I was disapointed that I could only poke with it and that it didnt have any overhead swing animation. Any chance of adding atgiers to this animation style or seeing how it would work?
The only reason why I was able to make it work for axes is because they didn't have a secondary attack by themselves. With Atgeirs it'll be a lot more complicated. They have the spin attack and I don't yet know how to stitch animations together. If I ever get to this it'll be a long time from now.
