so this is now the second mod that i cant get to work! installed vortex the other day and have this and another mod, vortex says both are enabled yet nothings happening, is there something i have to do to get it to work with steam? sorry this is first time i have ever used mods with a steam game.
Did you DEPLOY the mods? "Enabled" is not the same as "Deployed". Enabled = STAGED, ready to be Deployed. That means the files have been prepared OUTSIDE of the game, but Vortex has not yet placed NTFS hardlink pointers into the game directories (those pointers are like copies of the needed files but nothing is copied... it's magic).
There is an option to enable automatic Deployment after every change. I would recommend it if you're forgetful AND you don't have too large a mod list; deployment takes a moment, and if you have too many mods and are trying to make a series of changes then you have to wait for it to complete repeatedly. Just enable it; you'll know if and when you need to disable it.
Hello, i just installed it but it doesn affect my game, i put it in plugin folder of valheim and it doesnt work i think ? and i dont find it in the configuration manager menu in game, any update ? great mod it allows me to lower my basic weight inventory early game to make it realistic and being able to reach high weight at end game , thanks a lot !
EDIT: Ok, i started to play with the CFG and modified things and it changed so its working, i was just too shy to play with big numbers but its working, i got baited by the skill levels scaling and it was not changing my weight even if i lowered the base weight, thanks for your work.
I spent some time tweaking the numbers to try to make it a bit more realistic and balanced. This is what I came up with if anyone else wants to try. It will give you the buffs slightly faster at the start, with a more balanced distribution as you progress. I should also note that I play single player, and running it this way might not be as good for multiplayer, since some players might not mine or cut trees as much.
2 Run 1.5 Jump 1.5 Swim 1 Wood cutting 1 Pickaxes
Wood cutting and pickaxes makes more sense because you mostly need the buff for carrying ores and wood. Its also more realistic since just doing those things would make you better at gathering the materials.
I liked your logic but feel the numbers used will turn you into a bit of a monster so i went with 1 for the ones you listed but also added sneak. My logic being, if your sneaking around a lot, your thighs are gonna get some benefit.

i cant find the link to a github or any update on this page
it says i can in .cfg but I only have .dll and i opened it and it has nothing i can change
Is that correct?
Should it be "SkillsGiveMoreCarryWeight.dll" or "Skills_Give_More_Carry_Weight.dll" or ""Skills.Give.More.Carry.Weight.dll"?
I don't have a single other mod with spaces in it's name.
And I have 171 functioning mods.
Could you correct this?
It generated a log file that was 584 MB.
If I had played much longer, it would have generated a GIGABYTE of log entries.
cut trees as much.
