Is there a mod or config you could add that would let you keep your inventory when you die to a player? I run a coop server and I'd like friendly fire to be on so you don't just mindlessly swing at a boss when you friends are right next to it.
A really good idea. But only useful if the mod can be used as a default on the server side. There should be a way on the server side that you can only log in if you have installed certain mods.
I am hoping this mod may have an option to be triggered/enabled only during NIGHT. Is that possible for future update of this mod? That would be great to add more terror in the night.
Would it need possible for you to add MCE to force server side configs?
Also it'd be great if you could allow for configurable "safe zones" (name, x,z, range) that you could name and would tell someone "You've just entered name safezone". Maybe even add ward support to suppress PvP while in range.
Pfhoenix has done some work on PvP type mods and may be willing to help you with that and MCE (if needed).
Hello! So actually there is not a config for my mod, that is the beauty of it, plop it in, and it will run. Therefore not needing to add that config to MCE
What's is the point of this mod if you still have to put same amount of trust in people and just waste time downloading this mod? you can't force it from server side
Well for instance, the server we run, enforces a certain modlist, otherwise it does not allow you to join the server. Which alot of servers use the same setup. If you read the description, i do mention i plan on making this server side. Most of the mods for valheim are client side only right now
You can using a script that will check the plugins folder of BepInEx, the script patches the folder if a certain file is found, and it bassically gets rid of the file while you are on the server. If the modlist is not equal to what the modlist is for the server, the program tells the server to throw an incompatible version error. We use this on our server, its a mod on nexus, cant think of the name right now.
Its a mod and by definition of it its easy make copy of it that will return what ever your server side says it wants to see always matching your server version its just useless in protecting from anyone that actually wants to cheat in your server

config and plugins of old mod removed
In summary, no, the inventory does not need to be opened to enable it, it is enabled by default and cant be turned off.
