Back again! I noticed auto sorting didn't appear to be working on cart storage. Is this a mod conflict, or is it just not implemented for boats and carts yet?
The normal chests and the boat chests have different item names, and we have confirmed that these are not sorted. I am very glad that you are using my mod. I have stopped updating this mod as there are already mods that are more sophisticated than this mod. It is recommended to use the following mod. https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/end360/InventorySorting/
That's a shame, but I understand not wanting to continue development on this mod if you feel there is a better option.
But in my opinion, after trying the alternative you suggested, I still think this mod is better, even in its current state. I will continue using it as is.
Thanks for the all hard work you already put into it.
Reasons: 1. InventorySorting is ONLY on Thunderstore, not on Nexus. 2. InventorySorting ONLY supports r2modman, not Vortex.
I had manually installed that mod, but after today's major upgrade to the Equipment and Quick Slots mod (beware, read the instructions before updating!), the sort buttons quit working but there was a debug in the log that showed a conflict with Equipment and Quick Slots.
So I now have disabled InventorySorting.
The reasons I chose that mod over yours, is A) I didn't know if your mod auto-sorted the player inventory, which I wouldn't want, and B) I liked the idea of a manual button.
But honestly, after using it for some time, constantly pushing that stupid manual sorting button was starting to get on my nerves. :)
hey dude, love your mod. I'm transitioning to organising my mods using r2modman, which uses mods posted only on thunderstore.io. Any chance of uploading the mod here too?
This mod remains functionally better than the other sort mod. I do prefer the "Sort" button on the newer InventorySort mod, however, that mod doesn't really sort things. If you log off, or even port away and come back, none of the containers remain sorted. Yours works all the time.
EDIT: After testing (loading with mod, checking several containers, exiting, removing mod, checking containers again), it looks like this mod also just visually sorts but doesn't really change the position of things within a container. You just don't notice because it always sorts. That being the case, this mod seems like the better option if you want things to remain consistent.
That is not the intended behavior. However, it is a good move considering that it does not affect people who are not using the mod. It's a blessing in disguise lol.
I also hope you do this. It's annoying going through a chest and seeing 2 of the same items and neither of them are fully stacked. Your mods are a necessity imo!

I will try to make some adjustments.

So please, continue. :D

I will consider implementing it.
Is it possible to add the auto sort to the player inventory as well?
I will consider implementing it.
I'll fix it in the next update.
EDIT: Working great! SO many thanks.
