I finally manage to correct the sapling disappearing on reload problem, so everything should work properly now in v1.0.0.7 .
This is probably the last update I make on this mod, unless catastrophic failure maybe.
If you would like more features, I suggest you take a look at "Planting Plus". It does the same thing, but with berry bushes and mushroom farming as well as trees.
I wouldn't recommend 'Planting Plus' as it has a very bad bug that desyncs you from the world after a while so you cant damage, or be damaged by things.. it's doing something to bog things down and as of this post, the mod author is still MIA.
I wouldn't recommend Planting Plus... I stopped using it because of the desync bug that made it so that I cannot damage enemies and enemies cannot damage me. It was really annoying. Poison type enemies could kill me but I would be unable to defend myself from them. I'm going to try this mod out, sad about the berries though. I liked that part.
Is there a way to plant plains birch trees? The ones that are slightly brownish. I settled in the plains and loxes are slowly killing my decorative forest, and the ones I can plant have green leafes. Thanks for the great mod regardless.
Tried v 1.0.0.6, timers look good as to function, still not saving saplings when you exit world and re enter unfortunately. So don't log out if you have planted and they are not matured.
The berry mod is severely broken with zero response from its creator. Basing a new mod off it might be a real headache. Look at the bugs and comments on the berry mod.
Yeah I think his mod is good, and what he did with the trees in his last update is much better than what I did. I'm probably going to stomp a few more bugs and leave my mod in this state after.

Yeah same question, I updated so i don't need the valheimLib anymore, so have you tried the update. I also tried to reproduce the bug, but it worked for me. I see that there was an update to it, so maybe try that too.
It would be cool if you could figure out how to get those trees to drop their own seeds at random times. Maybe make them slightly rarer than normal seeds. Maybe you could use the current seed model and just color it slightly to match the trees.
Yeah that was the plan at first, but it turns out it's more difficult than i thought. For now i will try and debug what is there, then i will add the needs properly.
The default time for trees appears to be about 4200 seconds/ticks or whatever unit. You have the trees set to 3 seconds, could we get a config file please to make these not insta grow?... I really appreciate the ability to grow these, but ... instant grow is a bit to op for me to use.
Ok, i uploaded the good file this time, you might need to delete the [Steam path]\Valheim\BepInEx\config\com.Defryder.Give_the_plant.cfg file. I'm new to this so i'm not sure if it has an impact.
yeah I got the new one, the config file that's generated looks to direct to nexusid 274 which is another mod, the berry planting mod and looks to mix the two configs up, might want to check that.
Ok, I deleted everything and redownloaded and reinstalled, now the config file looks to point to the right id and the timers respond to the config file, Thanks again!
Hmm yeah, I started from that mod, but it is a bit strange that there are still references to it. I'm going to cleanup correcly, test and reupload a good version in a few hours. Thanks for bugtesting :D
