Dear ALL, please share this mod again here or githab etc. I dont want to update my client and server up to 0.148.6 because i have a lot of already installed mods and not all of them works correctly with a new update. So i rolled back to the previous version till new version appears or i get another alternative
Hey! This was a great mod but I think the 0.148.6 patch makes it no longer necessary. Thank you for making something that eventually got put into the game! :)
Sorry never heard of that mod, certainly I haven't tested with it! Sounds awesome though I was thinking we need more stars! I would GUESS my mod will work fine, and if they didn't address the tamed HP / star rating bug (1 or 2 star tamed animals would have the HP of 0 star ones), it should actually make it even better, as your 5 star tamed whatever will have 5x the HP like it is supposed to.
You should absolutely try that mod! It makes the game more fun and challenging with enemy sub types and more variety! https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/495?tab=description I report back if I tested it.
And it stops happening if you remove NightSpawnTamingFix mod? Because there isn't anything related to this mod in that callstack, the log message above is unrelated.
I installed AllTameable yesterday and tried to tame a Greydwarf night spawn and had started the taming process, but it disappeared in the morning as soon as I walked a short distance away to get more food. That's why I was curious if this might fix the issue.
No, I have not installed this mod yet. I was hoping that it would fix the issue of night spawns disappearing after taming has begun, but was just worried about compatibility. I'll give it a try. Thanks for responding!
Hello, the mod is really good, but i'm having issues. It's not consistent but when I install this mod I occasionally receive this message. I even tried it by itself and still got this error.
When that happen my console becomes blank and I can only see the bepinex console.
I get it as well, I believe it is due to too much console text perhaps? Console still functions, but doesn't display text properly. Did you try without this mod?
I will disable the verbose logging, but this is a bug in the game console I believe, you can see it is trying to render too much text in one go for the renderer to handle. After adding your mod to my dedicated server, it doesn't seem to have affected my wolves? I bred a no star wolf to a 2 start wolf to start a family and the offspring from the 2 start wolf all have been only 240hp.
What do you mean "only" 240hp? This is the correct leveled value, the normal ones are 80hp (at least in my game). There is some modifiers applied to HP when there are multiple players nearby, so maybe you have seen some variation in their HP.
/edit To be clear it will have fixed all your wolves HP on loading the save, so your parent wolf is already corrected. Also you can see in the screen shot I have added to this mod the HP of 0 star and 1 star wolves.
2 star wolves do start at 240hp, but I've observed them growing pass their supposedly max amount of 240 if they're offscreen and have a readily available amount of food source. This contradicts what I've seen in the code in both BaseAI and Character, so I'm not sure what the deal is.
I'm using SKToolbox's detect feature to get an accurate reading of mobs HP. Prior to using this Wolf-fix mod, I've observed both their currentHP and maxHP to exceed 240. After using this Wolf-flx mod, I've observed wolves where their currentHP can exceed their max HP of 240.
This may reciprocate the experience that OP have noted, as I've personally seen wolves HP grow up to 800. I'm not sure if this was intended by the original Valheim devs or is it some buggy behavior when BaseAI.UpdateRegeneration() is called invovling GetWorldTimeDelta()
Mistori, you might be on to something there about why they HP doesn't work in the default game in the first place. If it's going over limits there might be a bounding check, and the bounding check only relates to no star wolves.
I've certainly noticed in some cases where a correct, 240 HP 2-star wolf will eat, and then immediately turn into an 80 HP wolf. But then, I've also seen 10HP 2-star pups, and 30HP 2 star pups. The 10 HP will grow into 80HP wolves, and the 30HP ones grow into 240HP wolves.
The whole thing is a bit confusing. (I spent far too long staring at wolves and wolf pups over the past two days...)

Is it possible for this mod to continue with regards to AllTameable mod
creatures spawn at night and that mod allows them to be tamable.
Regards
I was not sure if the fix in the vanilla game was just for 2 star Wolves.
AllTameable mod , I would be trying to tame something like a Wraith etc ... so I was not certain if they would be fixed just as the Wolves are.
Please report back if you test it!

I think maybe it's because of AllTameable mod?
