I haven't seen this exact issue mentioned yet so I thought I should ask...
I am running this on a dedicated server, but I do NOT want the added inventory slots or extra carry weight bonuses. I have turned them both off in the General section, the Key Type is set to Global, and in the Inventory section I have the Add Inventory Row and Add Carry Weight List blank. I am using TMM's Edit Config section to do this and I have done the same things on the server and the client sides. I think the carry weight is correct but I still have two extra phantom rows of inventory that won't go away.
Everything else works great with the mod, and I think this mod is a great idea to earn the abilities after defeating bosses, so I want to say that you have done an amazing job on this. If I can't get rid of the extra rows it isn't a huge deal but I thought I would go to the source as a last resort to try and get it perfect.
I notice in the console when loading the server that it says "invalid format" for both the weight and inventory rows when it loads the mod. Do I do something different than leave the line blank?
I've got an issue i can't seem to work out. Four of us are playing on a hosted dedicated server (GPortal). I don't currently have the mod installed on the server, everyone is just running it client side.
I have my Key Type set to player and have the correct weight increase, portal permissions based on my boss kills but if the other 3 folks playing on the server set their Key Type to Player, all of their progression bonuses go away (no weight, inventory, portal permissions). The only way the other 3 players get the progression bonuses is if they set the Key Type to global. Doing this obviously gives everyone with the global key type setting the bonuses of the 1 player on the server who has advanced the farthest.
I would like for all players to have the Key Type Player because we are all playing at different paces.
I installed the mod on the server at one point with the Key Type set to Player but it had the same results (progression bonuses go away) except for my character.
I've compared all the player cfg files with mine and they're all the same (except for Key Type and the Chest Inventory position).
Any clue why the Key Type Player setting is only working for 1 of the 4 of us?
[Update] I was able to check the listkeys devcommand on one of the other players and they didn't have "kill" keys for anything let alone bosses. For example I have defeated_neck, defeated_eikthyr, defeated_gdking etc. The other player had none of these despite having killed all creatures, bosses through Moder.
So now I'm guessing my issue has nothing to do with your mod. Ugh.
I love this mod but I'm having the problem where I had the 5th row added but when I open a chest the chest UI overlaps the row. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I hope you have a great every day!!!
Im playing with a friend and the only function from the mod thats not working is the teleport feature for the ores. We defeated the Elder and got the weight buffs but not the function to use the teleporter with the ores. The settings are all on defauled, you got an idea where the problem is?
The only thing I get are inventory rows, and only when I set them to "off" in the config. They are blocked when you open any box though. And for some reason your bottom inventory row is blocked when you open iron or black metal chest even without the additional rows
Mod conflicts with Azu EPI, whereas it doesn't let EPI extend the UI for any extra rows.
Also, there's a problem with unlockable rows from progression, the mod apparently adds "ghost" rows that take in items when you pick a tomb and your inventory seems to get full, so in order to recover those items you need to clear inventory space, die again and then pick up your grave, had to disable because of this.
Yes, it is not currently compatible with BetterArchery and EPI as they both modify the inventory height. I'm consulting with Azumatt, the author of EPI for compatibility. For now you have the option to disable the inventory row feature while keeping the rest of the functionality of the mod if you prefer to use EPI.
maybe Iam beeing dumb, but i cant get this to work. Ive installed the .dll file into beepinex\plugins folder but it doesnt work, also the game realizes theres a plugin installed.
Do I have to start a new world or a new character?
Try to log into different world/map with your character and see if it helps. Or run your current one as server (acts same way as solo map, unless you let someone join you).
You do not need to start a new seed/character. This works by reading the "keys" you do have. I.e. if your Character beat Eikythyr and every boss thereafter, you would get 25 carry weight each by default.
How does game/mod check boss_defeated key? I defeat boss, than I have to log into different map, or log on same map as server map. Logout then login doesn't work. I tried to disable all other mods, did not help. Do I need something for mod to work right away? Allowed commands? Some other mod/tool? It works, but fact that I figured out whole "log into map as server" thing was pure luck.
The mod checks if a player has a unique key on player.awake/player.update. It then checks if it matches any expected boss key.
Try putting some iron on you, kill bonemass, then go near a portal, and it should be teleportable and/or you would get +25 max carry weight. Assuming you have default configuration.
It doesnt have any dependencies other than bepinex. The mod works as soon as the player character exists. Effects will be noticeable upon killing a boss. I've just started a test playthrough (solo) right now, and I can see it working (getting +25 carry weight after killing Eikthyr).
Mod checks for the ff. player keys: defeated_eikthyr,defeated_gdking,defeated_bonemass,defeated_dragon,defeated_goblinking,defeated_queen
Keep in mind that this is taken from the Keys of the player. and NOTthe world/global keys.
you can try devcommands and type listkeys to show you what keys your character has.

Check for the config file as well.
That's the fastest way to check if its working.
