Hey, glad you found the mod useful, I had the idea to make this mod exactly because of that. When playing with friends we found ourselves asking each other to ping the same location over and over again.
As for the color code, it's a hexadecimal for RED, GREEN, BLUE and TRANSPARENCY. The default value is "40FFFFBF", each 2 digits represents a color in the order I described. You can use an online tool such as (https://rgbcolorpicker.com/) to select a color and get it's hexadecimal representation (the one prefixed with '#'), just remember to omit the '#' simbol when pasting it to the config file.
I recomend using the configuration manager (check out the 'configuration' section in this mod's description) so you can configure your mods without needing to change files manualy. There you will find some nice sliders to choose the color that works for you.
