      its not a copy.
you wouldn't need this because the other seasons mod recolours the original textures instead

im a little confused why this points to offsite mods for risk of rain but surely this is the mod you mean we need?

It points to exactly the right place. You need BepInEx. Did you actually scroll down slightly?

WillyBach, How do you get the roof tops to show snow? Mine do not, ive reinstalled this mod multiple times, also how do you freeze water on winter?? in config i have this

    ## If on, plugin freezes water during winter [Synced with Server]
    # Setting type: Toggle
    # Default value: Off
    # Acceptable values: Off, On
    7 - Winter Freezes Water = On

in the RustySeasonality.cfg file, i have installed the HD texture pack over his as well, and still i don't get different roofing color variants, winter or that nice green in summer.

But biggest pet peeve is freezing the water / ocean / lakes, what other setting on why it is not working?

And inside the config > seasonality folder, i added screenshot what i have in there to see if this is correct?

    Inside Seasonality Folder

Yeah the problem isn’t with Seasonalty sadly, it’s other mods. Custom Texture mod prevents some things, also my HD additions add on. Perhaps don’t use those. But the roofs should change.
are you sure the roofs are inside the pieces folder? I have had a couple of problems with Seasonality in the past, and I fixed it by deleting All seasonality files including the YML files, loading the game on seasonality, saving then adding the mod back in. Worked fine after that.

yes all roof textures inside as shows in pieces, everything where it should be, i dont use other mods besides the flag texture mod. as far as seasons or textures goes, i have epicloot and farming mod but thats it.

I cleared out the seasonality folder, and started it, saved it then put in WillyHD back in and still nothing.
What else can i do to fix this?
I also have SeasonalTweaks Installed, would this cause issues with the roofs?

      What it looks like.

Hey i just might of figured it out, or unless its a bug, Is the snow portion BIOME specific? i went to a snow mountain area and built a tiny roof and house and now i have snow there, but just normal seasonality when it changes seasons anywhere else outside and off the snow location there is no snow on the roof.

Just want to confirm with you if this is how it suppose to be snow biome specific for the roof textures to work.

Then it’s another mod conflicting. For me all the roofs turn white in winter. Well, they did last time I checked. Perhaps the latest update of Seasonality has changed something. I’ll test it myself this weekend.

    Hey

I love your mods but I do have some problems.
    - Installed Willybach's HD - Higher    works 100%
    - Installed Seasonality  ->  Where to put the .JSON  and .PING  Files?
    - Installed Willybach's HD Seasonality - > raplce files in config ( overwrite the old Seasonality )

    In game
Save A =  Give info its Fall - Bed time   / Season never change , but I see fall texsture.
    logout
Save B = No info at all, but its still fall texsture
    logout

if I only run the  Seasonality mob and not add HD Seasonality.
Save A : Now show no info,,, no fall no notthing, but it is fall texsture

Save B :  Now have Fall icon and countdown..

whatever what I try I never get save A. to change Season.   Save B i just testet to se, but I do not understand why one save is diffrent from a other save.

OK, I'm having a serious issue here and I can't seem to find the fix for it...

I've got everything installed properly on all 3 mods; This one, Seasonality and the Seasonality tweaks, but for some reason, no matter what the season is, all my grass is white, all the time. Now, I DO HAVE almost 100 mods in place, but none that effect the textures of the grasses or anything to do with the seasons.

    Any ideas?

No, it is another mod. In fact there are several that effect Seasonality I believe. First, Custom Graphics Settings apparently. Willybach's HD Additions effects pickables unfortunately. Custom Textures Mod also affects things I believe. Delete any of those three if you have them and see if there's a difference. Also, possibly Grass Tweaks mod.

So this means I can't use your HD pack along with Seasonality?! :(

I'm not using Custom Textures or anything else that effects grass (at least I dont THINK any other mods effect the grass), other than your HD additions. If this is the case, I'm sad now lol. I have to choose between your HD, or Seasonality... That's like telling me to pick a favorite kid IN FRONT of my kids XD.

No, you can absolutely use Willybach's HD Valheim, just not Willybach's HD Additions, which changes some of the meshes (shapes of objects) in the game. Hell, I even use Custom Textures, but only for Willbach's old banners, Flint (So my blind butt doesn't shoot at it thinking it is a seagull), and blueberries, so I can more easily see them.

For troubleshooting purposes, you can make a copy of your entire Valheim folder/directory and test in the new location, remove all of your mods except Seasonality, Willybach's HD Valheim, and Willybach's Seasonality and see if that fixes your white grass problem. Then you can re-add the other mods one by one and see which one is causing the issue. Good luck!

I've actually done this already, but just for kicks, I tried it again. Only have Seasonality, Willys HD Val, Willys HD Seasonality and tried it with AND without seasonal tweaks; It's fall in the game and the issue still persists. I'm stumped.

Edit: And then I see that Seasonality has had another update lol. Lemme try that update out real quick

Edit No. 2--- Still no luck

Only way to be sure is to delete BepInEx and reinstall, then add in my HD pack, seasonality and seasonality HD. There's likely cfg files, and all sorts in BepInEx from mods you may believe to have uninstalled. Let me know if you find a solution bud.

[EDIT - Because posting about being stumped by a problem is often the prerequisite to solving it...]

Was having this issue too; finally sorted it.

Double-check that you're getting the files in the right places. If you're using Vortex, it will put them in the wrong places by default. And, for me, that was causing the white-grass problem.

The .dll goes into the "plugins" folder of BepInEx. The "Seasonality" folder  that has the textures goes in the  "config" folder.

      If you're using Vortex:
      1) Download the Seasonality mod into Vortex.
      2) Make sure it's *disabled* in Vortex (so files aren't loaded into Valheim's BepInEx folder)
      3) Make sure its ModType is set to "Bepinex Root Mod" (Double-click the 'Seasonality' mod to open a sidebar on the right-hand side  and look for ModType  field towards the bottom.)
      4) Right-click the Seasonality mod and "open in file manager". You should get a window called  something like "...Vortex\valheim\mods\Seasonality-2612-3-1-4-1705252962". This is what Vortex will copy into valheim's bepinex  folder.
      5) For current version (3.1.14) you'll see, in the window that opens, a "config" folder and then four files, including Seasonality.dll
      6) Create a subfolder called "plugins"
      7) Move those 4 files into that  plugins folder, so that the window now just has the 2 sub-folders: "config" and "plugins". Their contents will be copied  into the corresponding subfolders inside  Valheim's  BepInEx  folder.
      8) Replace the Seasonality textures, in the "config" folder, with the ones provided by HD Seasonality.
      9) Go back to Vortex and set Seasonality to "enabled"

Hopefully this will now load files properly when you launch Valheim.

I downloaded WillyB HD Seasonality, WillyB HD Valheim, which i saw from your description said they work? or they dont work together, because i wanna use both a season and have the game in HD, i also have textured flags only which i also got from your page in one of the additional mods. So do i overwrite seasionality with HD seasonality folder? will they work together? im confused.

Also in what order do the mods need to be installed?? i also installed rusty seasonality mod.

I had this issue before, there is a solution, first you download all the mods as you would, extract etc etc. when you go into bepin, configs, you'll see the seasonality folder, hit textures. youll see tree folders and what not. but if you open them, the pngs will be gone.

thats because for some reason for seasonality, extracting removes the PNGS from the folders. Now if you go into the file of willybachs seasonality (or even rusty's as this happens with that too) before you extracted it in your download folder(or wherever you keep your downloads) open the file that says seasonality, from there go into the textures files and check the same tree folders that you did before, but this time on the unextracted file. youll see all the pngs there for all the trees and what not.

so from there back go back to the unextracted folder of seasonilty that holds all the textures. copy it, and then paste it to your bepinx config. itll create or overwrite the seasonality folder there. but if you check the textures again while in your bepinx, youll then see all the pngs there.

      TLDR
In short its all a matter of copying and pasting the seasonaity folder from the config of the download straight into the config folder of your bepinx. Hope this helps you. it helped me.

For some reason the winter textures won't apply to a lot of things in the blackforest, trees bushes and rocks, and the water won't freeze either. The mod seems to be working great otherwise, I'm using the thunderstore and made sure the textures are all there in the right place and they seem to be. Not sure why they wont change properly in game

Edit: seems none of the seasonal textures apply to any blackforest except for the ground and grass

Edit 2: After creating a new thunderstore profile and including only the seasonal and hd mods it worked, so now I just need to figure out which one was the problem and I'll update here to save others the trouble, oh and amazing mod by the way, the textures with the seasons is an amazing feel in game.

Final edit: Took me a while but I narrowed it down to BetterCreative by Heinermann, for whatever reason as soon as I enable this one it cancels out the water freeze and any black forest texture changes

Amazing mod, can't wait to try it out. But I had an install question:
The instruction state " Delete all vanilla Seasonality textures (in case there are some not replaced by this mod)"
Does that mean to delete everything in texture folder here

    config\Seasonality\Textures\

or everything in the root folder

    config\Seasonality\

Hi yeah delete all of Seasonality’s textures so all the folders inside config/seasonality. My textures overwrite his but… if he has something in there that mine doesnt have, then you’ll end up with a mixture of Hd and vanilla. That’s the only reason. It’ll still work even if you don’t.

Ah, perfect. I'll re-do my install then because I only did the config\Seasonality\Textures\ folder. From what I saw it did look good though! Thanks for the amazing mod!!

      quick follow-up question:
If I remove config\Seasonality subfolders and place your mod contents in there, what if there was something from Seasonality that isn't covered by your mod. Does it just default back to your Willybach's HD Valheim stuff in the Valheim_data folder then?

So it’s like My pack is the core, then Rusty’s mod’s loose files overwrite the same textures in my pack. So if you then add my HD Seasonaloty on top it will replace Rusty’s. If however you DON’T delete Rusty’s textures before installing my HD version there’s a risk some of his will remain if I haven’t included them. Especially armors. So, it’s best to delete all his textures then add mine just in case.
