Funnest f*#@ing mod I have EVER downloaded for literally none of the reasons you think. When it's winter, you can't fall into the water, it freezes over, and it becomes a flat, hard surface you can run around on top of. Fantastic for travel across bodies of water, you would assume, and you would be correct. Combine this with a mod like Stamina Sense where your stamina doesn't drain unless there are enemies nearby, and you can run all over the place.

Little thing of note with Valheim, though... the fish? They have a tendency to spawn in not in the water, but just ABOVE the water. Which MEANS that, when the water is frozen over, the fish end up swimming around on top of the ice. Now, what's a viking to do when there are fish all over the top of the ice, fish that, would normally be REALLY hard to acquire under normal circumstances? That's right, run all over the damn water chasing down fish. You slam into them, physics yeets them into the air, and if you time the E button right, you can nab the fish. Some of the bigger ones can't move, and are flopped over on their side, so they hop, and you can catch them from the air, or just scoop them off the ice.

You have simply not idea the severe degree of joy it brings me to run around picking up fish. 10/10, would recommend (though if you're using Vortex, go grab the version off Thunderstore, that's what I'm using and I've not had any of the issues other folks are describing).

I wanted it to be pretty, but your comment sealed the deal. However it's now winter and the water isnt frozen. All the sads for the missed easy fish XD

I'm seeing an issue where, during Winter, all of my Darkwood pieces are snow-white except for the details.

I realized maybe the texture is flipped, so I rotated it and it makes more sense now; the decorative trim maybe catches some snow or moisture and freezes? Still, it's a pretty jarring texture.

Agreed. This is a very poor implementation. All of the interior pieces are also white as a ghost during winter. Better to have no changes for this one.

i have mods Longer Days and Seasonality....with only activated Longer Days, my days are quite long, usually 4 times longer....but when i activated Seasonality, it seems my days are back to default duration.....i have mod manager to edit each mod, but i dont know which settings to edit in Seasonality to get longer days back ? any help pls

it seems that Seasonality mod is overwriting Longer Days duration....i want Longer Days to be main mod when it comes to day duration....help pls

edit, sorry my bad, i was confused by Cold debuff effect in Winter, because Cold is usually at night, but after reading about Seasonality, it seems even in Winter we get Cold debuff and i was mistaking it for Night....everything is ok, Longer Days works as usual.

It looks like there is an error with the most recent update. The winter version of the bronze helmet needs to be fixed. Below is the pasted error

I liked the mod until the latest versions, even the newest one, insisted on adding viruses.
The virus was found by Malwarebytes
    Adware.DotDo - RUSTYMODS-SEASONALITY\SEASONALITY.DLL

I've got one comment and one suggestion for this great mod, the comment, fps drops during winter a bit to much in random places for random amounts of time.
the suggestion, would it be possible to plug this code from aedethorns grass tweaks under each season's modifiers section in the config file to essentially cause the grass to thin out during winter, and to grow thicker and taller in the summer time?

    ## Clutter scale minimum multiplier# Setting type: Single# Default value: 1ScaleMinMult = 0.8 (0.8 in fall and spring, 0.5 in winter, 1.2 in summer## Clutter scale maximum multiplier# Setting type: Single# Default value: 1ScaleMaxMult = 1.2  (1.2 in fall and spring, 0.7 in winter, 1.5 in summer. ## Clutter amount multiplier# Setting type: Single# Default value: 1AmountMult = 0.5 (maybe just leave this on as is all on all, at most 0.7 during summer## Grass patch size# Setting type: Single# Default value: 8GrassPatchSize = 15 (15 for fall and spring, 20 for winter, 8 for summer.

Not to make a big deal about this, but your mod has been picked up by multiple virus scanners as having Adware.DotDo. Not sure if this is just a false reading but I would probably make sure this is looked into as I do regular scans weekly of my PC and didn't have it until I installed Seasonality 3.0.3 through thunderstore

I had the same thing happen, too. I reached out to NexusMods and they said it is very likely a false positive. I've been using it since and haven't noticed anything sus with or on my computer.

They say "very likely false positive" yet what they don't mention is that Comfy modding team has found malware on the Valheim Thunderstore a couple of times
