have a weirdo bug with this mod where the boats are acting wicked bizarre about 50% of the time. with a perfect rear tailwind and full sails, the boats go backwards. or just spin in place.
but only when in multiplayer. single player is fine. and a single person on a multiplayer server is fine too, but the moment a second person logs in all hell breaks loose.
only other boat mod i have is Azumatt's Wear and Tear and the only one option affecting boats is enabled (boats won't take water damage).
any ideas? i love everything about this mod but stranding us in the middle of the ocean isn't ideal.
Do every player on a boat has mod installed? Next time you experience similar issue you can try opening ship's container and then going back to ship controls. I will check wnt patches for potential incompatibility later.

yeah, each player has it installed and it's installed on the server. also, we're only up to the Karve boat and i know that one has been buggy in vanilla as well.
did it tonight, and opening the ship's container and then going back to the ship's controls didn't work. but, again, it was with the Karve.
afterwards we took a Longboat and everything was fine, no problems whatsoever. so it has to be something else, or the game just being buggy. regardless, i appreciate the help. thanks
Yes it may be just network lag between your clients causing ship to desync its position. Being the last person to touch ship container makes your game client to be ship owner which should make ship control more smooth. This mod doesn't touch that behaviour, it only changes variables responsible for ship different movement speeds (forward, turning, backward and others). Ship desync is a known issue in current Valheim build. I hope it will be made more smooth in future.
Да, в том числе если игрок держится за мачту или нос. Просто проверяется, что если зацепился за что-то, то добавляем силу движения и скорость поворота на скорости 1. Делать полноценную анимацию гребка слишком сложно, там много сопутствующих мелочей. Да и не очень интересно, если честно.
да всё правильно. Всё классно работает офигенный мод для коопа. Это относится к другому моду, но что бы не писать два сообщения напишу тут.... у Extra slots всё что подбирается с земли идёт в быстрые слоты(Alt+Z..) это можно как то отключить? это не проблема как бы доп слоты всё таки, но забываешь туда смотреть
слёзно прошу, если будет возможность,желание и т.д. сделай мод на парное оружие у Smothbrain есть такой, но анимация и атаки настолько старые потому что был сделан до пепельных земель где впервые появились парные топоры, короче очень нужен мод на парное оружие с анимацией как в пепельных, но что бы ходить и с кремневыми мечами и с броновыми топорами. Еще такая анимация атаки есть в моде AlmanacClassSystem там при прокачке скилов можно так бегать, но отдельно такого мода именно с ванильной анимацией нигде нету. Еще было бы круто соеденять их на кузнице что бы это был как 1 слот.
Анимации у DualWield кастомные, не ванильные и разные для разных видов оружия. Я сам его пробовал, анимации выглядят вполне пристойно. Но сам такой мод делать не хочу, получается совсем то же самое.
We had an issue with boats, removed this mod, and the issue went away. With the latest game update, when controlling boats they will dramatically sink into the ground and potentially glitch out of existence (along with the player riding it).
It's funny but also we had to reload an old save so not cool lol
Would you please allow in the config what % of resources to return? My world default is 1. And I was bummed to only get 33% back when I wanted to move my boat. To me, the point of breaking it down is to pick it up and move it, but I can't do that if I only get back 1/3 the rss. Thank you
I don't think that issue is related to boats in particular. Pieces (and boat also is) should be disassembled for full build price no matter the world modifiers. Could be some other mod altering drop tables or something like that?
There are "Prevent drowning near the ship" and "Use stamina to boost steering speed" which are additions to the game behaviour. Everything else is vanilla.
Patch 0.217.22 seems to have broken the mod, even after your update. After updating BepInEx other mods with dependency on it work again, this one unfortunately doesn't, even in a vacuum.
