I have become aware of a recent game update breaking Vulkan rendering compatibility with the mod. I am working on a fix for this so in the meantime I recommend you use DX rendering to avoid any issues.
Great mod, helps to make the game world more cohesive with other HD mods. Is there any chance of this mod receiving that Vulkan support update any time soon? Getting this mod with a more performant renderer is the current dream.
Before commenting this, I read many comments about this mod and tried to follow all the steps you mentioned, but I really couldn't get the mod to work. I downloaded your new version released in 2024, and when I start my game, it still gets stuck—I can't see the character, I can't see the ground, I can't move the camera, I can't do anything at all. I'm running the game in DX, and in the BepInEx console, it says it's loading version 0.3.4 instead of the 0.3.5 version that was mentioned. I should mention that I install my mods manually, and my game version is 0.219.16
What version of Shading Overhaul does the Bepinex log tell you when it loads. It will be near the top of the log. Basically this shouldn't be happening and I cannot re-create the issue. This looks like an error from an older version. Did you get it from Nexus? I know there is a very old version on Thunderstore that somebody uploaded without my permission that will likely have that issue.
Yes, that resolved the problem. I should not make that mistake again. Will you update the Thunderstore repo with the latest version? Its also out of date. Thank you for your help.
Not in this particular mod. Bloom settings are on a different part of the post processing stack I don't touch with the mod, so adding that is a little out of scope for it. There are other mods out there that allow you to control the bloom though I think.
haha no. i dont use mod managers anyway and i contacted Badger on discord. Its an error on his end, vulkan has missing shader and since it bugs out on dx too its a fix on the modders end. Hes working on it.

Hey, i installed this mod and my character cannot move.
I can look aroudn use all buttons to open inventory etc etc. but i simply cannot move.
I have the sneak icon which is the only differece, and when i disable this mod using my mod manager (thunderstore) i can move again so unfortuantely its do with this mod, but i dont know how to fix it. Any help willll be greatly appreciated
Whenever I add this to my game, I load into my world with the world invisible and just the skybox visible, I can't move the camera, but I hear the music playing and my player running around. Its almost like the camera is stuck in the sky. Has anyone had this issue, and know what is the mod conflict is? I'm at like 67 mods now, and exiting and reloading the game takes an eternity to try and figure it out through process of elimination.
im not seeing any cnfg file, and page down does not bring up the config options in game, as far as i can tell manually installing the dll in the plugins folder has not produced any noticeable difference.
Well if the mod isn't loading and you don't get a menu when pressing the page down key then I can only assume it's not installed correctly. Are you using a mod manager?

But I can see the world and objects, though lighting is pretty dark somehow.
