There is a conflict with (https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/2831?tab=posts&BH=0) OreMines. Both Controller and Mouse and Key show prompts for actions on screen. The Tool bar moves to the bottom and is filled with wood. Only everything looks old. As if the game reverted to an early ui. You can take actions like attack and block but can not move.

I'll be posting to other author as well as I have no idea whos mod is the issue.

The skill of diving levels up dozens of times slower compared to other skills. I think this needs balancing. Additionally, there should be an option to adjust the XP Gain factor.

This mod seems to cause issues with a feature of Structure Tweaks, World Edit Commands, and Server devcommands. With these mods, it's possible to create new volumes of water, which seems like it would go really well with a mod about diving. Only problem is, the BetterDiving mod seems to cause issues with these custom pools of water, such as the water surfaces becoming invisible, or not being able to get removed properly. Do you think compatability between these mods could be increased? The combination of underwater swimming with player-created bodies of water seems like it has fun creative possibilities.

Water surfaces becoming invisible is a Structure Tweaks issue, it's unrelated to BetterDiving. As StonedProphet pointed out in the official Structure Tweaks Mod Showcase video

Hi, I have two issues with your mod:
1)When my character is shoulders-deep in water, weird fog appears.
2)When I use your mod with Seasonability mod enabled, I cant see under water - everything is too bright...

The mods config allows you to change the fog density. Setting it to a lower value may solve both issues.

it's usually about the winter, since there are too many #FFFFFF objects in the world in this particular season, it'll be a sore of eyes to go deep. If you want to work under water I recommend lower the day time and winter time in seasonality mod.

I really like being able to dive underwater and build an underwater section of my base! ^_^ So thanks so much for this mod.

One thing though: the longer I spend underwater, the looser my camera is tethered to my character.
After I've gone diving, I either log out and back in to reset the camera, or else the camera lags a step behind my character (allowing me to move left and right across the screen for a full stride before the camera starts following) and aiming my hammer to build stuff becomes really hard.

Thank you for the feedback. Glad you are enjoying the mod! I can't recreate this issue. Perhaps one of your other mods is incompatible. Please check your other mods.

Is it possible to somehow increase the speed of pumping scuba diving?

Incompatible with Project Auga, probably because of skill tab, i think. Such a shame, because both mods are awesome, wish there was a compatibility patch or something

I test this mod with Project Auga and there are no known compatibility issues. The skill tab works as well. What issues are you experiencing and are you certain they are not the result of another mod?

Well, both mods are working perfectly fine in my modlist on their own, problem occurs only when i have Project Auga installed, and if Better Diving is installed with it, all ui breaks. Character stats are showing wrong values, there's a ton effect icons on the screen, map and skill tab doesn't open, inventory looks wierd. I thought it could be because of the skill tab, but now can't even imagine what it is.

Edit: just installed mod again, and it works just fine for whatever reason, didn't do or change anything. I am sorry that i've wasted your time.

I love this mod. Great work!! My game seems to be broken when it's installed atm. And if I try without it. My loading screen soft locks.  haha
Hope you can update it soon. Off to Grounded until your great return. ^^

first of all thank you very much for sharing your work @humansandbag i love the new functionality!

tho i got one issue and two questions :)

im not sure how 'c_swimStaminaDrainMinSkill' and 'c_swimStaminaDrainMaxSkill' work.
its about stamina consumption while diving right?
is for example c_swimStaminaDrainMinSkill the most stamina consumed at lowest skill or is it the lowest consumption at highest level?

i want stamina consumption while diving to be equal or higher to when swimming. id be ok with dying without stamina before oxigen runs out. i imagine its more fun to keep both bars in mind. do you have a value recommendation for me?

Thank you for the feedback. Glad you are enjoying the new functionality!
The 'c_swimStaminaDrainMinSkill' and 'c_swimStaminaDrainMaxSkill' config values allow you to modify the players min and max stamina drain that occurs while diving. The max stamina drain will occur at max swim skill level and the min stamina drain will occur at the lowest swim skill level. For the desired effect, I would suggest that you try setting c_swimStaminaDrainMinSkill to 5 and c_swimStaminaDrainMaxSkill to 2 to match the games default min/max stamina drain values for swimming.
