Since you asked about features we might like, I'm interested in being able to add my own prefab models to random places around the map as unique iconic landmarks. I want to be able to create maps that place these prefab model landmarks randomly with the other placements.
Hi, I got a suggestion not sure if u able to. I saw ur post asking if u & billw can join forces, regardless u have or not; it doesnt matter. BetterContinent already has most the features & better, so at least there's an option out there, but there's some features even his mod dont have & if u can add these features it will prove very useful. And makes more sense to combine the use of both WorldGenOptions & BetterContinents.
Suggest features: -Ability to Extract a vanilla world map, & export the map's Height, Biome, Forrest, Spawn map/layers. -Ability to Alter the Height, Flatness, Roughness of a portion or specific area on the map. (Not using world system to generate the land but instead allow alter a specific area determine by radius/xyz/re-importing height map. -Ability to Add/extent water system. (Your mod can change the size/width but cannot add/extent to existing water, even in BetterContinent user have to draw out the area for water which is inverted from the land mask. but cannot add/extent water unless user paint the entire water map water & forced to raise the land mask height, which is viable but it will change the entire map's water system not just an area.) -Add better Erosion feature. This is needed for both ur mod & BetterContinent.
Edit: there's a site that can extract map data. If a website can do it, no reason a in-game mod cannot. https://valheim-map.world/
Hello, i would like to make a water world, with sparse islands and continents. I read in the description i can change rivers. But dont see a line for it.
Not sure what settings to change to achieve this. Or if can... Also wondering if we can get some presets listed in the forum?
Any who thank you for the mod! Have a fantastic day!
It's possible to create a waterworld like generation, but it's a hard one to generate and the world loads kind of slowly when using it. It's probably best to wait untill we can change the heightmap, size of the world and change ocean parameters.
Suggestion: reduce the height of the mountains Function for patching: GetSnowMountainHeight in WorldGenerator class For my own use i replaced content of GetSnowMountainHeight with content of GetPlainsHeight:
Hey, I've seen your mod and I would love to join forces on world generation to have everything in a single mod. Could you contact me on discord at SpaceDrive#7241 if you are interested?

For my own use i replaced content of GetSnowMountainHeight with content of GetPlainsHeight:
private float GetSnowMountainHeight(float wx, float wy, bool menu)
{
return GetPlainsHeight(wx, wy);
}
EDIT: Bad idea, ores are not generated
Edit: Ah nevermind, your Github lists both names you use.
Thank you so much for this, hope you are going to keep this up.
