Hi! Me and my friend have this mod both installed, and there's a weird bug where instead of spawning to the bed where we set our spawn location, whenever we die, we instead both spawn on the starting spawn point of the game where we activate the forsaken powers. For now we just set a portal in there so we can quickly teleport to our base, since the features of bed rules are too good to disable we cope with that, please fix it master!
I tested this tonight and the spawn point is working. I made a quick video to show you that it does work. Let me know if you have any more questions or thoughts.
Sorry for the very late response! I also tested it in my solo world, and it works perfectly in there, but it weirds out when we play in multiplayer. Lately it spawns us initially on a random nearest location from where we died, and after dying again it spawns us either on the forsaken powers altar or in the bed, pretty RNG
I haven't tested it in multiplayer. I will do that this weekend. It takes a bit to set the environment up. When it spawns you at the alter, do both of you spawn there or does one player spawn there and the other spawn at the desired location? Thanks again.
Hello author, I found that when setting to ignore fire sleep, you can sleep normally, but there is still a prompt text on the screen indicating the need for fire. Is this a normal phenomenon?
I can remove the text but doing so can cause problems with other mods. I don't traditionally like to mess with the game notifications to keep mod compatibility. Hope that helps.
Completely rewrote this mod to fix the bugs and get it updated to the newest version of Valheim. It has been tested in both single and multiplayer and is working great. Please let me know if you find any bugs.
Cool concept, but you lose the ability to save the spawn location. The first time I used it, the ''set spawn point '' option appeared. When I restarted the game it was gone.
Yes, I see what you did there. Still, the problem remains: While in the game, changing ''Do Not Set Spawn Point'' will not have an immediate effect. Maybe using filewatcher could solve this, or maybe adding a modifier key+E as a set spawn point option?
It changes for me immediately. Also there is a firewatcher in the code, so a manual change to the config file will work as well. Let me look at the file that is on Nexus to make sure it's the most recent version.
Well, with the config settings listed above, I get this when I interact with the bed and can't trigger the sleep animation. ''spawn point set'' over and over...
Hey I just tested it with the exact same settings and it works for me. In your screenshot that [End] Sleep is not coming from my mod. Nowhere in my mod do I use the word End. I control every aspect of the wording on the Gui and never use the word "End". Are you using possibly another mod that modifies sleep?
End is the key I use to interact in the game Instead of E. I prefer the right side of the keyboard. My keymapping has nothing to do with the mod's behavior If it works for you, with the settings I shared in the photo, then unlucky me I guess...
Sorry, I was tired and not thinking when I typed that. I will work with this some more tonight. Clearly there is an issue, that I am just not seeing. I am using both the straw and nice bed. Not that is should matter.
I've tried a million things and even loaded some of Azumatts mods to match yours. I have no idea. Can you delete the config file and let it regenerate? Otherwise if you want to send me your logfile, I can take a look at it. I am on discord. TastyChickenLegs#4818
You probably already know this but the logfile is in the bepinex directory and is called LogOutput.txt
Since I am the only one with this problem, then it's clearly on me. Something from my end (probably a mod incompatibility) alters your mod's behavior. I appreciate the time you invested in investigating the issue and for offering more assistance privately on Discord. I will give it one more try by deleting the .config and if the result is the same, I will message you.
*Update: Although I am an experienced user, didn't cross my mind to delete the config. Mod works as described now. Thank you for the time spent trying to help, though it was wasted because I should have done that from the start...
Well that does help that it is fixed. I have a few other bugs I found but under super rare instances they won't matter. I appreciate your feedback and help with this. I figured you were an experienced user and that did help to solve the problem. Have a great day.

It's Updated. Hope you like it and thanks again for using my mods.
BedRules Version 2.0
Thanks again.
The first time I used it, the ''set spawn point '' option appeared. When I restarted the game it was gone.
The file I downloaded was created on 3/6/2023 at 9:34pm
That is the version I am testing now and it works.
