First of all, before you report a bug, please make sure that the problem you are experiencing is actually caused by XPortal. If you are running other mods, disable those, and see if the problem goes away. Or the other way around: disable XPortal, and see if that makes the problem go away. If you discover that XPortal is incompatible with another mod, please do report that, because I might be able to create work-arounds for that. If you are not sure, or you are struggling with these steps, then just report the problem, and we'll go from there.
It is important to me that I can make XPortal as bug free as possible, but please bear in mind that without your "LogOutput.log", I will not be able to debug your issue at all. Just showing me a screenshot of an error is not enough for me to discover the cause of that error.

Yes, your portals will still be there. XPortal will query the game data to find all of your existing portals.
I tested on a really old world where I had a giant portal hub and everything continued working the way I had left it. XPortal does not change anything until you tell it to.
it does work but I have a question that I can't find the answer to; The double cost parameter of this mods works perfectly with the default portal, but Advanced Portals costs stays the same, I tried to change them manually to no success. Advanced Portals comment section is closed, hence I'm here asking for help.
I'm using default costs until and if someone can hopefully help me.
Today's patch broke the mod, Jotunns already updated, hope this is a simple update for you!! Thank you for the great work <3 mods a life saver for me! I don' know if this has already been reported, so my apologies if it had, just saw others let you know for previous patches so I figured I would as well!
Can also confirm. Also doesn't work with the most recent Jotunn 2.15.2 update. I hope this is an easy fix I rely heavily on this mod and don't have a portal hub.

I have the same issue and downloading the latest version of Jotunn breaks the whole game. I came to download a previous version of Xportal but see that I can't do that.
The new update today broke Xportal. I've updated Jotunn already. When I interact with the portal the screen pops up but I can't interact with it and it doesn't go away unless I totally exit my game.
does Xportal store any of the portal names you've created in any file somewhere? i checked the Config file for Xportal and didn't see it there, and not seeing it from my in game config manager, also couldn't find it in any of the other files that are associated with Xportal
The portal names are stored in your world file. They are properties of the game objects. XPortal does not modify that behaviour, it works exactly like how the vanilla game saves the portal tags.
i got zindex error after last valheim update....portals work normaly but when you press e to change location manu freez and you have to exit game....no way to remove menu once you press e....can you update?
Mod is broken as of Version 0.217.28. You can no longer press E to access the portal menu. You also can not name portals at all with this mod installed. It 100% breaks portals on this version. Waiting patiently for a fix. :) Just passing along feedback.
Hi bmills518, thank you for reporting. This issue should be fixed in the version that was released 10 minutes before you wrote this -- can you check and confirm if that is indeed the case?
Thank you SpikeHimself! I am not sure why my Nexus was not showing an update. I check the tracked section regularly. I installed the update and all is well now. Thank you so much for all that you do and how fast you got a fix out for this issue! That one would have been a pain to fix without your mod!

Nvm, restarted the game and the values are now okI'm using default costs until and if someone can hopefully help me.
