Everyday I miss this mod more and more. Wish it, or any mod like it, worked on the current patches. Even better than fixed mod would be valheim devs just making it a thing in the game vanilla. Bump if fixed ever

I need some help with this MOD please.  Specifically on what do the settings in the config menu mean which will hopefully lead to me fixing why it doesn't work.  It tells me it is enabled or that I have switched axis, but then the game builds and moves as normal with no errors showing in the log.

Here is what I *think* they mean.
AxisXModifier (default B) - pressing this key will cause the mouse wheel to rotate the part on the X axis.  I usually change this to some out-of-the-way key because I never use it.
AxisZModifier (default V) - pressing this key will cause the mouse wheel to rotate the part on the Z axis. THE DEFAULT CONFLICTS WITH NextAxis SETTING!!!  I usually change this to some out-of-the-way key because I never use it.
NextAxis (default V) - pressing this key will cycle through each possible axis of rotation.

OverrideRotatation (default Disabled) - when Enabled you will get the number of of rotation steps specified in the RotationSteps setting.
RotationSteps (default 16) - I think this is how many facings an item has before it turns a full circle.  16 is also the game default.  Many times I set this to 32.

ResetRotation (default . <period key>) - will reset axis settings and present rotation to a sane version.  (This seems to work as I understand it)

RotationModifier (default Enabled) - when Disabled will turn off the MOD
RotationModifierKey (default Left Alt) - a binary toggle when the MOD is enabled to turn on/off appliaciton of MOD features - ie off means normal axis and steps.  Left Alt seems dumb for a toggle, Al, like shift, is an ongoing press.  I usually change this to P

UseAxisModifiers (default Disabled) - doesn't seem to do anything -0 the modifier keys work regardless of this setting.  But it seems like this out to enable or disable AxisXModifier, AxisZModifier, and NextAxis keys.

I wish the order of the settings was different so that related items were grouped together - but perhaps my config manager is at fault here?  I am using
Enhanced BepInEx Configuration Manager from https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/529

    Please, any help is appreciated!

It's not a setting that is wrong, it's the mod itself. It hasn't worked properly since July. I don't know if it's an issue with bepinx, another mod, or if it's just flat out broken but I haven't been able to get it working since July.

      https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/Tyrenheim/M3TO_Gizmo_Reloaded/

It's different enough that you'll have to mess with keymaps and get used to it.  Also it does not remember state from piece to piece like this one does so you have to re-rotate each next piece...

I can’t find anything with Gamepad support. I’ve tried gizmo but prefer the simplicity and ease of use of this mod.

some time over the last week or so the axes stopped working. the command to change axes still causes the text response, but the pieces only rotate along the y axis. i am running v4.0.2

Would be nice if it started off with rotating the normal way first, and then use the keybind to rotate through the other options. So like when placing the workbench, it didnt rotate onto it's back when trying to rotate it to turn it to face a certain direction.

Confirmed not working on update 0.216.9 (n-5). Enabling also prevented two of my other mods from loading properly, as follow:

    • Snap Points Made Easy

im having so much trouble getting a rotation mod to work. i tried this, gizmo, gizmo reloaded, and gizmo reloaded with the patch in the comments.

right now im using these mods:         https://imgur.com/a/khPWUQR

but without jotun, preciserotation wont generate a config file. with jotun, i get stuck in an inf loading screen (and eventually a crash) while joining my dedicated server.  here are screenshots of all the errors i get in the client cmd:
    https://imgur.com/a/wp1AeY1

and when i disable jotun, the config file for preciserotation stays, but trying to use it gives me the disconnect symbol in valheim, and a server cmd error:
    https://imgur.com/a/pmb8LrN

i tried installing preciserotation manually, and with vortex, but no luck either way. does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work? or another mod that allows rotation on other axis?

-note: config manager also does not work. i am using the enhanced one:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/529?tab=description

and i can see the icon on the bottom left of the main menu of valheim, but clicking it does not do anything, and pressing f1 does not do anything. perhaps this is related?

also i have tried the steps listed in the stickied post here:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/1138?tab=posts
to fix bepin, but that did not work either

      i manually downloaded bepin from:
      https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/denikson/BepInExPack_Valheim/

and manually installed it via the instructions on that page, now i can see bepin info on the top left of main menu, and config manager opens!

the game also now loads correctly, AND i can use precise rotation!!!!!

i hope this helps anyone else with issues.  just make sure u manually download bepin and replace all files when installing.  i guess vortex was the issue, as it doesnt seem to install bepin correctly.

I've found a bug where when you toggle the precise mode on/off or change the axis, it tells everyone else on the server.
