UPD. Yeah, I like this castle very much! Gatetowers with a round towers are awesome! Sadly, but a castle is absolutely empty inside. I woild like to see interrior too. Anyway, your design remind me my own style. I did some easy design changes of a machicolation and portcullis mechanism. Just for a fun, if you don't mind.
I liked the details you included. The interior of the castle is empty for the players to decorate as they wish and also because I didn't have free time for that. xD
Can I try to continue to redesign a castle? I'll post a screenshots to you in some days. If I add interior it will hardly drop fps, I'm afraid. BTW, how many weeks or months have you spend constructing such fortification?
In creative mode it took me a week to build but I didn't spend all day in the game. Multiple torches and fireplaces lit at the same time can cause a loss of FPS, I just put it in for the screenshots.
Initially I built the gates using the mod (More Gates) but I figured not all players would want to play with the mod so I left all the building as vanilla.
