Sorry if this may sound dumb but do I also need the 3 mods under requirements to use this mod? because when I click on the manual download it just says I need the bepin mod.

You only need bepinex to run the mod. If you want the other skybox textures then you need thoase as well.

Mod is only showing up in about 25% of the sky, the rest is the default.

What your saying is happening really isn't possible. Either the mod replace the textures or it doesn't. There's no inbetween. If you came to get this from Willybachs HD then make sure you have downloaded the correct version for his mod.

If not, could you provide a little more detail on what 25% of the sky is correct.

The mod was functioning improperly because I was using the Willybach version with the textures listed in the Valheim skies link. Upon reading further it's mentioned that those textures are designed for the original version, not Willy's. So I used a bad combo.

The incompatibility results in the skybox only using the texture i n the area directly over your head, the horizons are the default skybox.

I could not find textures compatible with Willy's version, so I dropped the mod altogether. Which was a shame because the aurora would've been nice.

If you want to use normal textures then use the default version. If your talking about Willy's Aurora skybox then use Willys version. If you want to convert other textures to work with the version for Willy then you need to vertically flip the images. Whatever textures you were trying to use just vertically flip them all and it will be fine.

Did you ever get this to work? I'm using the Willybach's HD stuff too, and no matter what skymap I select, the texture is just a big square above my head.

Actually, the only one that works is "HD Big Planet." I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

You are using the wrong version of the mod. You can only use the version for Willybachs skies with his textures, the others will give that appearance. Likewise you cannot use the other version for Willys skies.

Pressing 'H' when naming a map marker makes the Skies Configuration Editor come up.

    Hi there!

Genuinely not sure what I could have done. I have tried this mod on a fresh install to double check, but no matter WHAT it will not show the menu when pressing H. It brings up like the little sword cursor and freezes my character but thats it. I tried changing the key, only having this installed, etc. When I turn off Yggdrisil in the config it does work, so I know the mods working it's just the menu refuses to show.

For reference I'm using the Willybach's HD version and have tried it both with and without the HD pack installed. Any ideas?

It IS loading correctly as per bepin log by the way.

"[Info   :   BepInEx] Loading [ValheimHDTerrain 0.1.0]
[Info   :   BepInEx] Loading [badgers Valheim Skies 0.14.1]"

Seriously so stumped. I'm an experienced modder from Skyrim so I am positive I haven't done anything wrong that I can see or think of!

And in the config is lists 'H' as being the menu key? Perhaps change it to another key and see it if works. I had this problem once too, and I think... it was a conflicting mod. Perhaps remove Custom Textures if you have that, or any others and see if that changes things.

Is this Client side only or do you have to install it on the dedicated server as well?

Is it possible to add the aurora while still leaving the branches of the world tree in the sky?

The download page said to check the description page for a more detailed installation guide, but all I found was this

Download the mod and extract the contents into your Bepinex/plugins folder. You
can locate this folder by right clicking on Valheim in Steam, then click
on Manage -> Browse Local Files. From there open the BepinEx folder
    and then plugins.

This doesn't really feel very explanatory, it does not mention the folders at all, so I'll ask, where does one place these folders and if they are to be extracted to only the base .png files why was this not communicated in the instructions for clarity?

Please supply us with clearer guidelines on installing this so that everyone from modding guru to total noob can install this manually or otherwise and get it working, thank you in advance.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can make those instructions. It tells you everything you need to do, including how to get to the plugins folder. What exactly isn't clear to you?

In the download it has 2 folders as shown in the picture I attached, the instructions make no mention of these folders, what to do with them, or the contents of them, all it says is to extract the contents into the bepinex folder, so by that logic, I should place the folders found within your mod inside the bepinex folder without extracting them yes? This is what I mean by more precise instructions.

For example, do they go into the Custom Textures folder or somewhere else? This would be useful information

They go in the plugins folder as stated in the instructions. Extract the contents of the archive into the plugins folder. I'm not sure how you can construe those instructions as anything other than, extract the contents of the archive into the plugins folder. You should end up with the dll file and the single badgersvalheimskies folder in the plugins folder.

I'm not trying to be difficult here but you have all the information you need to install the mod. Just follow them and the mod will work fine.

That's fine, I just wanted to be 100% clear since a lot of other mods here tell you to place folders into a custom folder and not the plugins, hence why I wanted to double-check that I was indeed reading the instructions correctly. I wholly appreciate you taking the time to respond to my comments despite my insistence that I have it clarified, Thank you and good job with the mod.

      Your patience is exemplary btw.
