Hi ! thank you for all these mods; quick question though, how to get devcommands console to work with this mod? I get "error field 'terminal.m_input' not found"...
edit : oh wait, didn't see the update from yesterday : thanks !!
It's an interesting mod, but could you perhaps add an intensity system where the game chooses from the four different tracks that play during raids, with the intensity of the track matching the kind of enemy and number of enemies you're fighting, as well as a setting that determines the time the track takes before it fades out after a fight?
Very cool idea but sadly it is kinda unimmersive in some places. For example when chopping wood. If just one Greyling attacks you the combat music will start to kick in but because the Greyling dies so quickly it results in the normal music starting to fade out just fade in again. Same with boars, they're not really that big of a challenge to need combat music. It would be nice to have options in the config to set for enemy type and amount of enemys attacking you. I could really see this mod being that kind of mod that doesn't feel like a mod but rather like a game feature that you will miss when it isn't there.
As much as I love the idea of this mod, it would seem that my frame rate starts to endlessly decline slowly to a crawl as fights goes on.
I've done some testing by simply kiting enemies around with the mod off. No noticeable changes.
Then with the mod on, I notice the frame rate starting to slow down with no end/limit. Just to see how severe it would be, I even pushed it as far until it was virtually unplayable. I don't know if I'm the only one getting this, and it could be potentially other mods conflicting with it.
To simply put it, it would seem to me that the longer fights go on, the more the frame rate declines. It also seems to decline even faster when there are more enemies targeting you. This makes the frame rate drop especially fast in the swamp biomes as leeches try to target you.
Are you able to do some testing with this and see if this is just a "me" thing?
The mod is incredibly light, it just calls an incredibly light test method in the vanilla game that basically checks if you're in combat and then, if you are, whether the name of the currently playing music is "combat". Those checks will happen every frame, but it's hardly something that should cause cpu load unless you're using a potato, in which case there are lots of other things that are happening every frame that will be more of a bottleneck, I think. Try testing with and without this mod installed; if you are sure there is a difference in FPS, let me know.
I did some more testing, with and without custom music. And it looks like that the mod isn't indeed the cause of it.
It all seems inconsistent, and my previous testing last night may have been just pure bad luck and bad timing. I went through four encounters without my custom music, then another four with. The lag seems to kick in when I enabled it.
Then after getting your reply, I did the tests one more time to catch footage... Only this time it never happened, with and without custom music.
I'm still doing more tests, and it seems to be completely inconsistent. It seems to be something else.
There's also a small chance it could be because my world is old, before H&H. It just all seemed coincidental that I started getting lag during combat after installing these two mods, combat music, and custom sounds.
Sup man! Love you mods as always, I'd definitely put you as the top contender for "Best Valheim Mod Authors".
Quick question; would this mod along with Custom Music cause any sort of performance dip, or would it be negligent as opposed to mods that can add new meshes/textures/etc?

How did you determine that there was meant to be general 'combat music'? (genuine question)
TheForestIsMovingLvl[x] tracks (including Lvl4) are in fact called but only for events. They appear to be recycled for all of the 'base raid' events.

Can you please tell me what combat events 1-4 are supposed to do cause i have no clue

With all that said, please disregard my post.
