This mod saved me so many hours... LOVE IT! THANKS!
I always thought the terrible fps drops around my home base were just because I had a hobo potato PC... However, coming back to Valheim recently with a shiny new rtx 4090 + i7-13700K, the framerate/stutters were still rubbish in that (home base) area.
The most obvious first thought was just having way too high of a #instance count (build objects/tamed animals/light sources, etc). In the end though, the garbo fps issue was caused by lingering liquid-tar in the area. The liquid was just at/below ground level under/around my build structures, so it would've been a huge pain to dig up the whole area to isolate remaining pools and channel them away. Lowering Gfx settings didn't help, and while console dev commands could remove objects, they wouldn't work for these liquid tar pool remnants.
I was ready to just abandon the place and rebuild everything in a new area (QQ). ...but then I found this mod!
I was so happy to see that even now with the new Ashlands expansion live on test servers, this mod still works! 1 simple console command with this mod, the plaguing TarLiquid is insta deleted hassle free, and FPS at base is silky smooth now. Love it.
Hej sorry to hear that, thanks for the report! I just tested it and it seems to work for me. Has it ever worked for you before and broke today or is this the first time you're trying the mod?
I LOVE this mod, and it has become one of my core tools in Valheim, but I am a Thunderstore user, and I haven't been able to use it for a very long time, since you have not updated it on Thunderstore, so this is a request for all Thunderstore users to beg you to please update this mod on Thunderstore again.
I'm so glad to hear you've been enjoying the mod and thanks for your kind message! I have never uploaded anything to Thunderstore in my life, so I'm afraid I can't help you in that regard.. I do think some people have reuploaded some of my nexus mods there, but that's out of my control.
Feel free to take my latest version that I uploaded just now and republish it on ThunderStore as long as you mention this as the original source. Happy modding!
yea unfortunately the thunderstore one is uploaded by an account called missingnexusuploads, it does have julians name in the title but unfortunate they haven't updated it. you can manually upload the dll from the zip file to r2modman though. when your in your mod profile go into settings and go to import local mod.
Thanks so much for your reply. I discovered that Thunderstore allows for local installation, so I just manually downloaded the dll file and then loaded it into Thunderstore, so thanks again for the most awesome mod for Valheim, and for keeping it updated.
I do have one question though - I have noticed since the Mistlands update that I have a partial Magecap Mushroom floating in the air near the Eikthyr Boss Stone in the starting circle on just one of my worlds. It isn't there when I start the game in vanilla, so it has to be a mod that is putting it there. Generic Object Remover doesn't detect it or delete it, so I was wondering if you have heard of this sort of thing before, and if there is a solution to removing it.
You are 100% correct. I was wondering what "missing nexus mods" was, so now I know, and from now on I will just manually load nexus mods into Thunderstore using the internal local load ability through Thunderstore. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
About the object that can't be detected, I've seen it before when I first made the mod. I think it means it's an object only local to you and thus wouldn't be seen by other players joining your server. GOR only picks up synced objects. At least from what I remember, it's been a while!
Hi Julian. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read and reply to my questions. I figured the problem was local, and not part of the game files, so I'll just live with it ; ) .
I would like to take the opportunity to send you a MASSIVE THANK YOU for your mod. I really don't know how other creative modders live without it. Truly its the best mod I use, and absolutely perfect for my play style. Massive thanks also for your patience and willingness to answer dumb questions, but most of all for keeping this mod up to date. I understand that it must be a difficult task to constantly monitor and keep it current, and that I am most grateful. It really is the best mod on Nexus.
excited to use it, though! downloaded and installed it correctly. another mod worked fine, but GOR commands wouldn't show up in help or work at all. I also tried using radius as suggested in an earlier post, but it did not work with that either.
I know most likely Julian has a life and family with whom he will spend the end of the year but I would really appreciate an update (of any kind) regarding the mod. I have absolutely ruined my whole base by spawning a tarpit over it an now I can't even build new buildings because the materials remain stuck in the ground.
Hey, thank you Condoriot for such a nice message! I read it during the holidays and it made me smile. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't have a Windows computer on my travels! I hope the latest version I just uploaded works, would be great if you could verify if it does or not!
The .7z (7-Zip) file type is used all over the internet and this site, and some would argue is more popular than .zip (WinZip). As for this version 1.1.2 .7z file, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. It opens and extracts fine with both 7-Zip and WinZip. If you can't open it, then it's due to the way you downloaded it, or some process on your PC. Hope you figure out your issue.
Thank you, I suppose it's just that I'm unfamiliar with the .7z file, so I didn't have the right tools to open it. Thank you for the ZIP file, please don't feel like you need to leave it up, this was just my first exposure to the .7z file.
It probablly doesn't help that I mostly use Thunderstore Mod Manager...
This mod it fanatic, it's saved me a few times for server crashes. Your work is truly appreciated, JulianDeclercq!
No worries, I can leave the .zip up. I think the point is that neither format should matter, since both work Vortex also supports both so it's not a big deal. If you ever run accross .7z files in the future, you can download 7zip for free here: https://www.7-zip.org/ ! Thanks for the kind words!

Nice storytelling as well, I was intrigued the whole time!

Thank you JulianDeclercq for continuing to maintain GOR. Should be part of actual game code.

Can you check if the latest update I just uploaded works?
Forwhatever reason, I can't open the file once I've done the manual download...
I uploaded a .zip instead since that might be more commonly used, hope that helps for you!
