Are you tired of always playing as a human? We have an answer!

With this mod, you can play as one of 9 animal tribes, each with their own perks:

• Panther and Leopard - Sprint even faster
• Snow Leopard and Lynx - Immune to frost
• Fox and Grey Fox - Jump even higher
• Wolf - Melee damage output increase
• Lizard - Regeneration and swim underwater
• Dragon - Take to the skies and fly around
  

These perks become more potent as you level up each individual tribe. Activate beast mode by wearing no other items / armour to max out your beast skills.

While wearing a tribe skin, you gain 50 carry weight too!

Crafting

You can craft the tribe skins with various items on the workbench:

• Panther: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Coal
• Lizard: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Neck Tail
• Fox: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Raspberries
• Lynx: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Dandelion
• Leopard: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Resin
• Wolf: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Boar meat
• Snow Leopard: 2x Leather scraps and 5x feathers
• Greyfox: 2x Leather scraps and 5x Blue berries
• Dragon: 2x Leather scraps and 1x Freeze Gland
  

New game mechanics

Whilst wearing the lizard or dragon tribe skins, the following controls are used:

• Crouch = Dive underwater / Fall
• Jump = Ascend / Flap Wings
• Sprint = Swim / fly faster
• Auto-run = Swim / fly steady
  

Note that some of these drain stamina, being underwater also drains stamina. If you run out, you will drown or fall to the ground and die.

We recommend you practice with no inventory items or valuables in your inventory ;)

Requirements

This mod requires Jotunn 2.12.1 or higher, plus the usual BepinEx system.

Installation (automatic)

Mod managers should just know how to get this working. They are by far the easiest way to get this mod.

Installation (manual)

• Delete any existing BeastTribes
 folders in your BepinEx\Plugins\ folder
• Download the zip and extract the BeastTribes folder into BepinEx\Plugins\
  

FAQs

Does everyone on the server need this mod? Does the server need it?

No they don't, however it may look weird if you're flying around as human with no animations ;)

The server does not need this plugin.

Can you add other tribes / species?

It's unlikely we will, purely because we're all busy professionals and don't have a lot of spare time. In particular, making the 3D models and importing them into Unity is particularly time-consuming.
