I would love a "Dry Dock" building item that can be used to build and release the raft. I don't like using the console command, it breaks my low poly viking immersion

Get creative and make one yourself, our builder did it, you can too. Well, idk about that.

Have not tried it yet, I am making a Modlist for me and my friends. I looked through every mod on Nexus for the last 5 hours and have reduced our modlist from 250 mods to around 60. Mostly because of stability and bugs. This Mod is such a must have for me I will be working with it. I noticed a lot of people complain about it being near impossible to build a ship on water.

    Dry Dock it!

But then comments pop up that you cant drop a ship on land. Well I saw this video and maybe this will help? It will be awhile before I hop onto testing this mod out because I have so many mods to workout kinks. But in for now maybe this dry dock tip will help. Watch the video especially when he drops the first ship on land.

how do you deal with the angle being incorrect when you build on it? even dry docked blocks dont align properly with the ship

Is the invincibility bug going to be fixed? I placed one in front of my house, and I can't move or destroy it.

Download buildshare. If you use the remove building button it will delete the raft.

Tried for several hours to build a ship in different ways. It is impossible.

First I leveled a large area that is just above normal water level.
Put the raft base down and tried to set it up.
As soon as the sea gets a bit choppy, the construction moves a little up and down. And from then on you can no longer set parts because the angle is no longer correct.

I am more and more convinced that this mod would be extremely interesting, but is absolutely useless at the moment.

I am absolutely in love with this mod! After playing around with it for a few days, and reading the comments, I felt the need to share some tips and tricks to getting this mod to do what you want. 1: CONSTRUCT ON DRY, FLAT LAND. Once the boat is in the water, it is almost impossible to get anything to line up correctly. 2: I highly recommend you start with a sort of scaffolding built off the raft towards the ground. (You need to be standing on the raft to add to it.) Note: anything you build needs to be BLUE. If the structure is highlighted in green, it is no longer attached to the ship. 3: Remember that you have a working ladder on the raft. You don't always need to build one. 4: Build your raft at the back of your ship. (This ensures that the ship is maneuverable.) Note: because the ship is built in blue, this means it is all foundation. Thus, build limit is off, meaning the only weight orientation you need to account for is from the rudder. (In layman's terms, put rudder, where rudder would go on a boat if you want to steer good.) 5: Some Mods that greatly enhance the ValheimRAFT experience: Wind At Your Back, Faster Boats (Other than the obvious, makes multiple sails work together better.) , Precise Rotation, My Favorite Hoe (For building on land), More Gates , Walk On Water (If you get stuck), Floors Are RoofsCustom Building Items.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Your ship looks like a real ship unlike mine, how did you manage to build it all so... flush and neat.
Any chance of the buildshare file?

Precise Rotation was really essential in getting everything to fit just right. As well as building in dry-dock. And as far as the buildshare goes, I have tried, but unfortunately buildshare does not save the mod assets, so when the ship is spawned in, it's static.

Right thank you, I will build the next one on supports!
I tried using buildshare also. I was thinking it would be good to get your static ship ingame to look at/marvel upon and try and replicate your work.

In that case sure! I'll see what I can do. It uses some custom assets as well. They may not load either. But worth a shot right?

Edit: I can't seem to figure out how to upload the buildshare to the Nexus. I've never uploaded anything, only downloaded.

I believe.... it has something to do with the map sharing mod. Table was probably custom built? :)

I was wondering how does the faster boats affect sail speed, more sails, more speed?

      Hi,
I am doing a Youtube Video about the ValheimRaft Mod and the screenshots of your ship look really great. Far better than what I can build. Would you mind if I use them in my Youtube Video (as Thumbnail) ?

If you build it on dry land, how do you get it into the water?

This is also the coolest thing I've seen created, 10/10 for craftsmanship by the look... Am a bit late to the party; but in regards to buildshare and mod assets: I haven't tried it but it looks this (PlanBuild - Blueprint Rune) might do the trick, based on the initial seeming of it.
Either way, cheers heaps for the inspiration!

EDIT: for whatever reason Planbuild fails to copy the actual boat/raft part and thus seemingly doesn't quite function :(
double (or quadruple etc) EDIT: Seems like Planbuild copies the mod assets fine, but (with my lvl 2 deduction skills) it seems to simply not copy boats in general...
SUPER EDIT: yeah actually it seems to only successfully copy about 1 in 5 builds, with Planbuild, *shrugs*

Had two questions for you (very sick ship).
      1. I'm assuming you can't connect multiple raft bases together right? Like for example, your big ship there is just made of 1 base raft, right?
      2. How exactly did you put it on land, and how do you get it to go into the water afterwards? Wouldn't the physics kick in once you break it off of the land (I.E. the parts would start falling off)?

How do you build on land? I can't place my raft on land and when I try to raise the ground under it, it bugs out

I would also be interested. But somehow
I have the feeling that this mod is only for insiders ... because I can't find any real instructions.
All my attempts end in disaster.

Hey dudes, how can I easily destroy a raft?
I built several for testing and in order to get one where the angles line up...now live got 3 (only one is useable though because the others will not line up with things built on them)

Is there a way to somehow move the raft after the ship is already built? Mine is in the middle of my ship because nowhere does it state that it has to be at the back and now mine can't turn. This detail is kind of important and should really be in the mod description so that people don't waste their time creating unusable ships
