For anyone who would like to us this awesome mod with Valheim Mistlands, I went ahead and updated the plugin and dropped a release on my Github. The mod works exactly the same way as it did before but works just fine in Valheim Mistlands.
Yeah. Linking from sites is a gamble since many sites try to stop you from linking and beside that have a really long address for the files. I just started finding images and fixing them in photoshop and put them up on my own webpage to use. :P
An easy way to link images othervise is to just have a channel in discord, upload it there and then copy the link to it in discord. ;)
excellent mod What is the size of the sail, and I tested with various sizes, 2048 x 2048 and 1024 x 1024 look good but the size of the images are cut off, so I don't think that's the size.
I'm not 100% sure either what the image is supposed to be like but I've used an image with a 4:3 ratio. If the image is 640 x 480 for example, I expect roughly 40 pixels to be cut off at the top and at the bottom, leaving the middle 640 x 400 pixels in view.
Make the image 635x470. Make the image you want to be seen 543x466. Place the image you want to bee seen 50 pixels from the top (leaving 42 pixels at the bottom) and 2 pixels from the side.
Don't know why, but that really works. For example. The image here. The frame of colors are almost perfectly along the whole sail.
I tried saving it as an png instead with the white parts (all of them) transparent. :P
I have a seemingly fixed version of the mod here. Keep in mind I don't make mods and I'm just an amateur coder, but I updated the references and added a few recommended fixes in visual studio before repackaging the dll and just overwriting the old dll in the mod folder.
Feel free to use it at your own risk of it not being bug tested for things I have no way of finding. Since all I changed was the syntax for the boat interaction I don't think there could be any, but who knows.
Saw a new mod that puts a picture frame in the game that works similar, but it only work for local files. Which is great and all, but then everyone has to share the file. I like the fact this one, they just have to install the mod and voila they see the sail.
