Absolutely essential mod if you want to experience everything this game has to offer. I like that the dev made some really unique puzzles (this and the Expedition one) but I'm not really going to spend hours trying to differentiate minute sounds with the equivilant of a dial-up modem giving me tinnitus.
And really, is this not very much in the spirit of "bruteforcing"?
You my man are my hero. This cancer of a trahs quest is a pain in the bottom. I can not comprehend how and why somebody would come to conclusion, that that this is good idea.
My friend ty much! As someone that is hearing impaired I was having a lot of difficulty trying to solve this puzzle.
As much as I love Underrail, it has some places where it is obvious the devs did not think things through very well.
It is a game, not a field test for the cia or to get into a band or auditing for a concert, sometimes people get out of touch with the realities of the games they make, specially if they intend them for a wider audience.
Thank you much for this, it has made a very frustrating experience a very good one and has made my game be much more fun!
Nice work. This "puzzle" does nothing but gate lore behind having the ability to hear and distinguish between tones. Whichever dev is responsible for implementing non-circumventable s#*! like this needs to have a long think and realize that this kind of thing in many cases only serves to make players hate the dev's inserted hobbies and to drive players to metagame.
did this work for anyone?? for some reason some of the numbers are f***ed up for me, like pressing 1 gives me 4... god I hate this puzzle EDIT: NVM ITS IRREVERENT IT WORKS
remember folks: 1) to be at the box south of institute, and have a note pad help you map out the number sound to the keypad button you have to press 2) THEN go to the box at north of fort apogee
heres a helpful legend to make things even easier, good luck! (number sound = what button to press when you solve) 1=5 2=7 3=4 4=2 5=3 6=6
Yes, the sounds/numbers are linked to a different button on each playthrough so that Styg can prevent people listing easy combinations on the wiki etc
He wanted you to be forced to keep going until you can brute force your way through like what Phreak is doing with all his stuff. It's also why successfully completing 2 of these puzzles gives you a Feat giving +15% detection permanently.

You deserve the best for this simple QoL mod!
