Highlights in Uncharted 4 are getting clipped at times. I know all Naughty Dog games have a peak of 10000 nits but I don't see any clipping in other games including Lost legacy or TLOU P1 or P2. Happens only in U4 and they are overexposed. Could you look into it?
Is there a interface tab on ReShade or not? I'm asking because I don't get any errors but however, opposite that it says into description on this page, there is not any settings added into ReShade tabs. Can you tell me if it works fine or modify the mod description if it's right?
paper white at 5 is 300. The mod fixes the gamma correction code that was broken in multiple ways: - The gamma correction applies in the wrong color space, so it stretches the gamut (this part isn't super noticeable, but it makes colors appear wrong) - The gamma correction applies assuming a paper white of 300, so if you lower the brightness slider, it crushes blacks, if you raise the brightness slider is washes the image out. The mod also slightly adjusts the values of the slider.
Is there really a mod setting to adjust this? I only seem to see it in the plugin when I open the Reshade UI. I'm not sure why I can see the flare in the sun, it's there in vanilla too, can it be adjusted to not be visible because the sunlight's reflection on the beach is already too bright to be visible. Is this because highlights are not precise enough? Do I need to use lilium's shader for tone mapping?
I'm not able to get buffer injection working so no ability to add adjustable settings for things like tonemapping. You'll have to rely on lilium's tonemapping shader for that. This mod just fixes their broken gamma correction code and slightly adjusts the brightness slider's values.
I've been playing with it for a few days now and it looks pretty spectacular. i ended up just using bt.2390 Rgb at .5 knee and then uncapping (or more like exactly at 10000) which improved the gradient a bit. This applies more to tll though, when I use the same settings on u4 it looks almost the same as the original game. it seems the sun is only ugly in chapter 12, otherwise it still looks great,I suspect it's just the scene that's the problem Anyway thanks Musa :)
edit: I can't seem to find a really lasting highlight in u4, I just ended up finding a more comfortable value Chapter 1 of tll is great for adjusting tone mapping settings edit2: Ok apparently the settings are universal, it's just that U4 can't find the highlights in most cases, and the sun is not a real highlight in that scene, now I should have solved everything

Also, what's the paper white of a brightness value of 5?
- The gamma correction applies in the wrong color space, so it stretches the gamut (this part isn't super noticeable, but it makes colors appear wrong)

Test On Oled Tv A Lot of Different
Keep Up the Good Work
TQ

Chapter 1 of tll is great for adjusting tone mapping settings
