About this mod

Thanks to mariokart64n, this game now has a working model exporter to import new playable characters into the game. With this mod you will be able to play as Lara Croft from Tomb Raider: Underworld. Facial animations included!

Permissions and credits
Instructions:

Inside the archive you will find a "Char" and "Maps" folder. All you have to do is to copy and paste them into your "Data" folder, located into your directory of the game.

To play as the new character for the whole game, choose between the "Default" or "No Equipment" version, copy-paste LARA.CHR for 4 times and rename the others in LARAD, LARAC1, LARAC2, LARAS. I didn't do that myself to make the mod size smaller.

MAKE A BACKUP OF THE "MAPS" FOLDER BEFORE INSTALLING THE MOD! OTHERWISE YOU
WILL HAVE JACKED FACIAL ANIMATIONS WHEN YOU WILL GET BACK TO PLAY AS
STANDARD LARA!

This mod includes all the level fixes made by Nakamichi680. They are included within the .GMX.CLZ files which are needed for facial animations. Special thanks to him for fixing tons of bugs with textures and geometry!

You don't need to make a backup of the Char folder since the game doesn't even have that
folder when you install it. Basically what the Char file does is that
you can place .CHR files inside it (Character files) and the game will read those files instead of the ones in the level
files. This is a great thing as this will allow you to change characters
as much as you want without the need to unpack-repack the level files
everytime.

On the other hand we have the .TMT files. .TMT files are used to store morph targets (aka facial animations) and they will
need to be repacked into the level files, thus why the archive includes a
Maps/Cutscene folder.

While playing with the mod and watching cutscenes you will notice that Lara penetrates through certain object
and/or has weird movements. This happens because the model fully uses
custom bones positions to keep her body proportions the same as the
original model without tweaking it too much. Some people might prefer to
fully tweak their model to match the one they're replacing but I
personally always prefer having the original body proportions (when and
if possible, of course).

This is everything. Enjoy!
