Meow! - on how the TR4 leotard update looks!!! Thank you for continuing to surprise me with what I already think is a perfect mod, and then you somehow make perfect even more so... Not sure if there would be an adequate word for your expert, and original work!
Hi, what is the actual pathname from the C drive to install these manually? I have been scouring the internet and google to try to figure out how to install these on my steam deck, and all I ever find anywhere is the pathname for the save data. But I can't find the pathname location for the actual game system data, like texture files and such anywhere.
Hi again! So lately I've been obsessed with TR4 and I wanted to make a suggestion. :)
How do you feel about making a version that looks like the in-game TR4 model? I don't have any experience with mesh modding, but this is probably a pretty simple thing to do.
I did some quick photoshop trying to make the remastered version similar to the in-game TR4 model as a reference. Left - In-game TR4 model - Right - A suggestion for what it the in-game model might look like in the remaster.
It's pretty much just two things that needs to be done:
Make the neckline just slightly bigger, similar to the TR4 model. (in the picture below I used the Vegas outfit neckline to make this)
Make the angle of the leotard similar to the TR4 model from the front and back.
The leg straps for the weapons could also be optional maybe? (I could make some TEX files with TR4 color if anyone wants that) (It might look best if it's compatible with the Classic Backpack mod.)
What do you think?
Yesterday I asked anothertrfan the same question because he made the TR4 Attire mod, but he hasn't replied to me, so maybe he doesn't want to.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Yeah I figured I'd ask him first, but so far he hasn't responded.
Yes, that is what I want. I want something more similar to the actual TR4 in-game model. That's what I tried to do with the pictures I made.
The TR4 Attire mod is a little too stylized, or a little too dramatic. I pretty much want a version that is very similar to the actual TR4 in-game model, or something similar to the pictures I posted.
And I figured, since you made this great leotard mod, I thought maybe I could ask you. All you really need to do is make the neck line a little bigger and adjust the position of the leotard cut, if that makes sense. And if you want to go the extra mile, remove the leg straps (optional).
I WISH I could do this myself. I tried to read about yesterday, but I have no idea how to even begin to understand it.
Thank you so much, it's quite literally PERFECT! <3
While I waited for you, I made a TEX file for the color of the top. I might need to work on it some more, but this is exactly what I wanted. (I'd be happy to share it) EDIT: Link to TEX file with top color.
Again, thank you so much for being so awesome!
With anothertrfan TR4 braid, and SuperSailorGloom Classic Backpack mod, this looks sick! I love the TR community! So many amazing people!
That's because the mesh itself is assigned to a TEX file, regardless of what you name the file.
If you'd like to use the Classic 1 model with Classic 2's textures, then go to your TEX files and rename the 8010.dds file (Classic 1 top's texture) to 8040 (The Classic 2's texture).
EDIT: Which file did you rename? If you download the Classic 2 mesh mod and rename it to OUTFIT_TR1_CLASSIC, it should work
I see. I didn't know the mesh files were assigned to the TEX files. Now it makes sense.
I want to use your Classic 2 Mesh mod and replace Classic 1. (I don't really like the Classic 1 with the high neck line.) And I want to use this new TR4 mod to replace Classic 2.
Essentially I just want to replace the Classic 1 with the Classic 2. This way I could have "two" versions of Classic 2. One is the regular Classic 2 (Leotard version) and the other one is the TR4 Classic 2.
But I can't seem to get that to work without messing up the TEX files. I know how to edit the TEX files, so that won't be a problem.
EDIT: I re-downloaded your mesh files (with the small backpack mod) and renamed OUTFIT_TR2_CLASSIC.TRM to OUTFIT_TR1_CLASSIC.TRM and the mesh changes, but the associated TEX file is still 8040 and not 8010.
Hey there ! Sorry for getting into this thread, I've been watching the creation of this version of the top and I loved it. It would be possible to create a version for this top that would be compatible with the body mod that @irazfukko created?
irazfukko gave me permission to do it (huge thanks!), so here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kGE30WC2GV-p4WuNWLpaaSMI32iHqSxW/view?usp=sharing
First of all, thank you very much for your work, it looks spectacular and you shouldn't have to do it, so thank you again for taking the time to make a compatible version of your mod. I have tried to insert an image but I don't know how to do it, so I will try to describe it as best as possible : There are only 2 small problems, the first is that on the top, on the sides there are folds that do not match each other, one fold is like higher than the other and the color of the front and back of the top is different too, and the second problem is that the backpack is very small and causes the braid to float, resting in the air instead of in the backpack. I'm sorry for so much text and thank you very much again, it doesn't matter if you decide to fix this or not, I appreciate and value your effort.
Loving this! I'm modding TR Remastered to look, sound and feel more like TR3 (my first TR demo) and TR4 (my first full TR game) to maximize my nostalgia, and it looks like I found my ideal Classic outfit. It sorta feels like a mix of TR3 and TR4.
This's way too good to just be on the comments. How about putting it up as an alternative version? There are prolly others who'd prefer this.
Looks great, just a weird seam texture with her legs. And on the hips, but that's always there with the leotard and lots of modded outfits with midriff.
Yes, I did see that they announced the next set of remasters and I could not be more excited! And I love the way Lara looks in TLR, and it's very similar to this, which of course I love.
Here is a few more pictures of the TLR outfit mod that YolandiSteel made after several updates over the last months.
Hey YolandiSteel nice mod, i fixed the "mesh mod version" of the mod, the sides vertex were unwelded and i fixed the mesh in classic 2 in quick edit in blender! Thanks for the mod. Download
What says it's corrupt? Are you downloading it using Nexus Mods Manager?
I tried it and didn't have any issues, maybe these will help: 1. Try downloading it in a different browser 2. Use a different network connection 3. Try downloading it manually
that's weird. I get the same message on the google drive link too. I downloaded the backpack mesh model just fine on my desktop but my laptop gives me the error every time
The regular mod is just an edit of the top texture, just puts a skin texture over the top's texture. It's good if you don't use any mod that changes Lara's skin texture.
The mesh mod edits the mesh of the top, so that the skin mesh is showing. I recommend this if you use any mod that edits Lara's skin, like the Classic Lara mod.
So I just updated to the mesh version, and it changed the backpack back to the default one. So i was wondering if you could maybe update the mod and make it compatible with the "Classic Backpack" mod? I think the vanilla backpack is too big and I would love to use the mesh instead of just the TEX files.
Here is the classic backpack mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/tombraidertrilogyremastered/mods/236
I just downloaded it and I noticed on Classic 2 there is a weird spot on (Lara's right side) in the stomach area. It's light in dark areas, and dark in light areas. Very weird. It wasn't there yesterday, so maybe this is some sort of bug with the new version you just made?
Take a look:
EDIT:
So i switched out the texture for Classic 2 with Classic 1, just to check if that changed anything, but it didn't. So It's probably a mesh issue. I did notice one minor additional thing. Maybe this is because I made Lara's skin slightly more tan, but I'll show you anyway.
About the mesh version: There is a second file for the TR1 outfit. When the T-Rex chews on Lara, her outfit switches to this: OUTFIT_TR1_BLOODY.TRM I think that one should be edited too for a consistent look.
seems better now but it has still some issues , please keep improoving...........
it would be really great if you release a more blue leotard for tr2 outfit like classic lara mod.......so we can have a real differences from tr1 and 2

Using TR4 leotard variation with legstraps Vanilla.
There you have in-game screenshots and a 1,2,3 folder. Most texture mods go into the 1/TEX folder

I was gonna link you to the TR4 attire mod, but I see you also asked its creator, so you know about the mod.
If I'm understanding correctly, you'd like something similar to the TR4 attire mod, but a bit more similar to the TR4 in-game model?
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Yeah I figured I'd ask him first, but so far he hasn't responded.

Am I asking too much?

All that's missing now is Jonell Elliot's lovely voice for Lara :D
EDIT: Because you made this for me, I want to use it as Classic 2.
But I still LOVE your original Classic 2, so could you maybe replace the original Classic 1 with your Classic 2 Mesh mod so I can use them both?
I tried to just rename the files, and it works with the mesh, but for some reason the file still uses the original associated TEX file.
If you'd like to use the Classic 1 model with Classic 2's textures, then go to your TEX files and rename the 8010.dds file (Classic 1 top's texture) to 8040 (The Classic 2's texture).
