Is this mod remove the turbo from certain engine upgrades? im currently using the rx8 with lvl4 power and lvl3 exhaust & intake. i remember with the same upgrades i have on my previous playthrough that the rx8 have turbo. but now i just realize the car is now NA
Thanks! This mod does not edit anything for the cars themselves, it only changes the tuning parts that the rivals have equipped to their cars. I believe Genki did some balance changes to many of the actual cars in a recent patch, which is why Melancholic Angel's car has a different amount of Horsepower now, even though my mod sets all of her car's tuning parts back to the exact same as their pre-nerf levels.
I can look into that as well, i was also considering increasing the level of all rivals, which would increase their ATK and DEF, but i was worried about giving rivals more ATK and draining our SP too quickly.
Enjoyed this very much, beginning was pure grind for money, past Stage1-2 it was a breeze tho - still enjoyed alot, if u got the time and motivation, please provide a future setup where enemys get harder past stage1, OR lock the car upgrades for later as in early patches of the game. +1 Also if possible, remove the CP limit.
Thanks! I didn't intend to make it grindy at all, but i do plan to tweak some of the later rivals a bit. Im also planning a separate mod to fix some of the perk tree stuff like the CP limit.
Just out of curiousity, how would one go about editing the mod to make them faster? Normal rivals are slow all the way up well into stage 2, and the only racers that have offered me even a remotely fun time so far was SHUWA SHUWA STRONG and COMEDIC DISRUPTOR.
I'm only a few hours in but so far this mod is pretty incredible. I actually have to engage with the mechanics like tire durability and so on. And I actually have to race my opponents. I actually look at my opponents and care about their cars! I have nemeses!
I hope you keep tinkering with it to take the game in a more challenging but rewarding direction, but as it is the game is already a lot more thrilling. Thanks for sharing this.
Edit: Apropos the tire durability thing (since races go on for much longer and you're less likely to win), it would be nice if the price for replacing tires at parking garages was lower. I like the idea of cruising around for longer and making changes to my routes if my tires are worn, but in practice 50k is way too much when there's an instant teleport to the garage button with free tires. I suppose you do get it back from the long run bonus if you stick to parking garages, but it still doesn't seem worth the trouble. Additionally that teleport button could be removed, forcing you to go to parking garages to even get home. That one's maybe more divisive and difficult to implement (and there's no parking garages in the first act). Just an idea!
