The character select and Shredder are super buggy. They appear as incomplete flashing sprites. They're all chopped up and blinky. The other characters look okay, though. I placed the MirageComics file into the game's TMNT folder and double clicked the install.bat file like the instructions say, but again, buggy Shredder and character select. Also, the turtles don't have pupils in the title screen/level select but they do during gameplay and in the cutscenes. Wish it were consistent. Just keep the pupils everywhere if you ask me. They work for the cutscenes.
It's funny that I never encountered this before because I played it just before the big update and everything was fine, and then since the update I've only played without mods until now, so It seems that in one of the official updates, the dev's changed frame positions in the sprite sheets, which causes the visual glitches because the frames aren't lined up the way the game expects. Basically I'll have to redo the entire sheets from scratch which will take a while. Luckily it's just the character select screen and Shredder, but Shredder was very time consuming but hopefully I can work in chunks with copy pasting. Hopefully.
As far as pupils, I had the intention of removing pupils across the board, but wasn't happy with the way they looked after starting so I decided to just leave it as a cutscene only thing. Apologies if it doesn't look consistent but I was satisfied with the results.
Any plans on updating this? Im a comic book fan of TMNT and I consider this mod essential, wont touch the game until it's working with the mod, appreciate the work.
Hey, I would super appreciate if you'd make a version of Leonardo with this shade of green and blue headband but with a brown shell. Or if I could have the base as a png to do it myself <3 This is my favorite Leo mod but the green shell is different from the other mods I use for the Turtles for multiplayer and it bothers me that his shell is the wrong color
really amazing mod i love what how much effort you put into it, do you have any plans to make it custom skins compatible for the regular ones or the multiplayer variants?
Yeah I'm DEFINITELY not getting this one but I just want you to know you got a big laugh out of me. This is pretty damn funny but no way am I getting this as someone who wants to ENJOY multiplayer.
Well actually, I like to mix and match. So yeah, when I get bored of my current setup I'll probably get this. But I WON'T have ALL the turtles looking like this. Just one at a time.
Totally understandable, I did it mostly for a laugh as well. I started by just recoloring to match the SNES comic color, and then saw several pop up here and quickly abandoned that, but I still wanted to do something and figured nobody in their right mind would bother making everyone Raphael with tan arm and leg bands, it's too tedious and makes multiplayer even more confusing. BUT I'm having fun doing it and it's worth it for people to at least find the novelty amusing.
Awesome homage to their origin! Question.. I know you're working on foot soldiers and that's already tedious as is, but any plan to possibly do the turtles' belt buckles? Instead of the silverish in-game sprite I'm thinking they could be brown like their belts to look more like a belt knot than a buckle. I think that would add to the original mirage look. Just a thought. :)
Question: Why did you leave SuperShredder in purple? I did now a color swap and I find him amazing in the color you did for normal shredder.
I will make that mod for my use, even with a "redish" clones. Do not publish it, because you are the author and it is up to you, what you want. But when I'm finished and you want my files I share them with you.
There was a red version started at one point, but I wasn't too impressed with the result so I removed it. You can publish it; as far as permissions go I've allowed all my assets to be used for other projects with credit, and if you do all the work yourself to recreate it, you don't necessarily even need to credit me.
I like him in red (strange in general I prefer purple). It seems that mine will get a very little bit brighter... I will finish mine an if happy enough I publish the file but surly credit you. I hate steeling and even if I re-do that entire painting, I will credit the person from where I got the inspiration.
For me there are 2 mod goals: -Turtles in Time conversion for an even more nostalgic feeling (beside Zelda a Link to the past, my most played SNES game) -an the Mirage Comics conversion, for a more mature look an some added difficulty
I see really forward for you food soldiers, you sneak-peak looks so incredible good!
My guy, you have potential of making one of the biggest mods of this game. It's not about simple recolor, it's about the whole Mirage atmosphere itself. While I do think every '87 boss should be replaced with some '84 villains, I do recommend getting yourself a team of passionate guys like you. It really, really will be hard doing this completely alone. Who knows? Perhaps, you really might redo the game completely. Wish you the best! Looking for updates. :)
You can even strip down the mod_installer to the needs of you mod. Only give the Batch a name that it not collide with perhaps other further mods, that use the same installation style.
For me it would be desirable, that modders use a folder structure, like the one I used for the mod_installer and I suggest. So that we are on the right way for non destructive modding (a good expression from you in an other post).

is there something i can do to fix it?

That's why it's not suitable, but the author does a great job

In the next Version I will add an entry for you mod.
I already like what I see, I'll see what I can adopt into my own batch files.
UPDATE: I'm just gonna add a link to your batch file on my mod page because it's very very handy.
