Is anyone able to tell me if it's possible to use this mod as a "spring board" to do model swaps (for personal use) between the existing characters from the game itself? I downloaded this with the intention of getting some clues on how to replace models with others but I've been unable to make any progress... ^^;; For example I'm trying to switch Ryan with Travis' model.
edit after few months of looking into things and adding here in case anyone else wonders: it isn't possible to use this mod as a spring board for model swaps between existing characters.
A person can, yes. If they know what they're doing with the "swap" coding. Any swap can be used in any and all video games that allow such mod codes to be achieved, but it depends on the environment and programs used. I'd advice you to first test the models with Skyrim and Cyberpunk to see what can be done with those first. That'll at least give you a tool variable for your own practical purpose.
Sorry but your reply isn't helpful at all. Going to first buy Skyrim or Cyberpunk (both of which even use different engines than this one) and then modding them has no correlation with achieving mod swapping in The Quarry. Just like my previous experience with mod swapping in Arkham Knight or Life is Strange (both of which are at least UE games) doesn't translate in achieving a mod swap in this game.
He is a not modder, so what kind of help did you expect, for starters neither Skyrim nor Cyberpunk 2077 are going to help you replace models in this game, as they use different methods and engines.
This game uses Unreal Engine 4, so you need to get tools to repack the files, and the models themselves are extremely easy to replace, but again, you need to look for Unreal Engine 4 methods.
We can give you more and proper help on Discord, and look around this GitHub page.

I guess just general idea of if what I'm asking could be done with the help of this mod, or some nudge of what words to use to find a tutorial on how to accomplish it. Just anything other than "try to learn different games first" which is not helpful if I'm asking about a specific game.
I'm sorry if this was a very rude way to ask and not the place for it, basically I asked in this comment section because this modder seems to be the only person who has swapped entire models to different ones in this game. I'm very new to modding communities and don't really know where to actually look for help (like what terminology to use to search for tutorials, etc), and my own experiences aren't that good. I've been able to open the .paks, view and export models to mess around with on Blender, and made couple very, very minor "mods" by changing character clothes, but I still have no clue how to swap full models so that's why I was asking.
Any idea how to extract / pack audio for this? I'd love to do character voice conversions but theres almost no modding community for this game so theres no tools really :/

Create the ~mods folder, obviously.
