About this mod

Fast, simple, and effective preset. Preserves original colors, look, and feel of the game, and gives soft natural picture + some tips how to get the best possible image quality

Permissions and credits
This preset contains only 3 shaders:

1. Vibrance – obviously reduces vibrance for a bit.
2. Ambient Lighting – magical "glue" for every 3D game. Causes bright areas to spread their light over the darker areas. Gives soft & natural look to image and good simulation of skylighting in outdoors.
3. NEW AMD Fidelity FX Contrast Adaptive Sharpen – Reshade port of Radeon Image Sharpening filter, which brings a gentle crisp to image with ZERO artefacts (haloing etc.) No oversharp. Very fast processing time: 0.27 ms.
NOTE: I'll update screenshots later. All screenshots were taken with old Surface Sharpen shader.

INSTALLATION:

1. Get rid of aggresive chromatic aberration. It's a nice effect, but oftenly used too agressive.
1.1 Go to C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\Indiana\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor folder for EGS version or
 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\PrivateDivision.TheOuterWorldsWindows10_hv3d7yfbgr2rp\LocalCache\Local\Indiana\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor for WinStore version.
1.2 Open Engine.ini file with Notepad and paste at the very bottom:

[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0.15

This is the maximum blend value of aberration effect. You can set it to 0 if you don't want to see aberration at all, but i prefer just reducing it to sensible level. At 0.15 you'll barely notice it directly, it just add some softness and irregularity to sterile 3D picture without blurring it to hell.
All comparison screenshots were made with r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0.15

2. Go to your videodriver control panel and add executable ...TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Binaries\Win64\IndianaEpicGameStore-Win64-Shipping to your 3D applications.
2.1 Force x16 Anisotropic Filtering – this will reduce a blurry mess on the ground.
2.2 Or you can force ingame AF to x16, by adding next variables to Engine.ini file:
[SystemSettings]
r.MaxAnisotropy=16

3. Download mod files, unpack, and place it into ...TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Binaries\Win64\ folder.

4. Set ingame Gamma according to your preferences. I'm using value of 35, and Ambient Lighting shader settings were made with this number in mind.
4.1 Press HOME button during the game to open ReShade control panel. SCROLL LOCK button toggles effects ON/OFF by default.
4.2 If you want to change Ambient Light intensity, use AL Treshold & AL Intensilty sliders on Ambient Light tab. Do not touch anything else – it's a waste of resources.
4.3 If you want to add more/less sharpness, use Sharpen Strength slider on CAS tab. 0.000 is default value, which is used in native AMD Drivers, but you can increase it up to 1.000 if you want more sharpness.
