Its incredibly bright in a bad whiteish outline way. Look at your 2nd comparison photo. Left looks awful. 4th is awful too. Its so white that it has even colored the fog which is supposed to add depth into a white film over the image. Look at image 8; look at the bulbs on the led lights. On the right, they look normal, some glowing effect but fine. On the left, its completely blown out and you can barely see the buib itself.
Did u tried using it though? If u read the description, 1st sentence stated, the photos are not captured in HDR format. I was just using Windows clipping Tools man. At least people can see the difference in color. If u not yet tried it, try it 1st please & give feedbacks. It's ok if u don't like it ;)
Hey. The picture with the guitar is the 1st release of my reshade preset. My settings : HDR - contrast 0. bright 0, HUD bright 5. DLAA. Preset - very high. Film gain 0. Remember, all photos are not captured in HDR. I captured them using Windows Snipping tool. Plus, all photos are not up-to-date (too lazy to update photos on every updates lol). You need to test it yourself to see the real picture
Also found that using MXAO with the following settings makes it look even more amazing. Gives the grass/trees/other static items really nice shadows making it look even more realistic.
Sample Quality: Very High (32 Samples) Sample Radius: 2.5 Normal Bias: 0.534 Render Size Scale: 1.000 Ambient Occlusion: 1.000 Fine AO Scale: 0.200 Fine AO Intensity: 1 Coarse AO Intensity: 1 Blending Mode: 0 Fade out Start: 0.408 Fade Out End: 0.457 Debug: None MXAO_Enable_IL:0 MXAO_High Quality:0 MXAO_MIPLEVEL_AO:0 MXAO_MIPLEVEL_IL:2 MXAO_SMOOTHNORMALS:1 MXAO_TWO_LAYER:1
May effect FPS a bit but with it running Im still way above 60FPS at max settings @ 1440p
Also @MDXZFR, for your reshade are the only two items enabled Vignette and Deband? I believe I had this installed before then changed a few settings so Im making sure nothing has changed after reinstalling it
Sounds nice. I wanna try that. Which MXAO are u using? quint_MXAO?
Yeah, deband and vignette are enabled. deband helps a little for the sky for the color banding (even not so much) and vignette also helps a little to remove vignette effect around the screen (idk how to completely remove it and hoping someone will make one mod for it lol)
and please share ur screenshots/photos if u like. cheers
Oh that's too much for my style. I thought it's just a little ambient occlusion but this changed overall look. I'm more to pocket-camera/cheap camera style of look. bright highlight & slightly lifted/soft shadow. But of course, u can tweak the preset as u wish. Cheers & Enjoy ;)
1st, install reshade. click install > select game > select dx11/12 > install the automatic selected shaders > done. Open TrueColorHDR10.zip > drag all files into the game's folder and replace all. When running the game, u will see reshade's message on the top left says "hit home to open reshade". After u hit home, select TrueColorHDR10.ini and all set
Do I need to install Vortex for this to work? OP, do you mind updating this mod with a ReadMe.txt file with more specific instructions on how to get this to work? Thanks
Installation instructions are in the description. Vortex is just another method, not mandatory, if u prefer to use it. Just use manual installation would be more easy. Just install reshade as usual, then just drag and drop all files and folder in the zip into the root of the game.
For some reason, when I launch the game with this Reshade, the in-game HDR doesn't hook in anymore, I have Nvidia apps overlay, and usually I'd know if native HDR hooked in by the overlay which has a more vibrant shade of green, but with this Reshade, HDR doesn't seem to trigger, and when I tried to toggle the in game HDR off and on again, the game froze and crashed.
