It appears you might be encountering a conflict with the cloud synchronization features of Steam or Epic Games, which could be overwriting the save files you've implemented. To address this, please consider the following troubleshooting steps:
Launch the game as you normally would.
Once in the game, navigate to the save game management area and delete the existing save files.
Crucially, before deleting, please create a backup of these current saves. This will allow you to restore them should the issue persist or if you wish to revert to your previous progress. Documents/The Last of Us Part II/[RANDOM NUMBER]/savedata.
After deleting the saves from within the game, manually place the provided save files into the game's save directory.
Close the game application completely.
Relaunch the game.
The rationale behind this procedure is to establish the provided save files as the authoritative local version before the cloud synchronization service attempts to update them. By closing and relaunching the game after introducing the new saves, you are effectively signaling to the Steam/Epic cloud service that these are the current and correct save files to be synchronized.Should this procedure not resolve the issue, I regret that I may not have further specific troubleshooting steps to offer, as the problem could then stem from a more complex or unique system configuration.
My game crashed on Abby permadeath day 3 so safe to say this mod was a life saver🙌 Just note it overwrites no return data and gave me the rest of the achievements I was missing
Well, sorry if you wanted to get those achievements yourself. I honestly had no idea that was going to be a problem transferring saves. I am wondering if it has something to do with the transfer option via the PS4 to PS5 save transfer and achievements that way. Anyway, sorry again if you wanted to earn those yourself.
