I think I've figured out the loss of tracking, it seems the tracking wont show unless you have level 1 on locate tracks. after resetting and leveling to 3 I can see them just fine there are a few issues but I can see some tracks atleast
I checked the file. The basic clue spawn distance is set to 99m. but it seems that I am misinterpreting the file...so I couldn't find the problem. Sorry. It might be a good idea for everybody to activate the mod after putting one point to tracking.

First you need to improve the required skills. For example you need to get carry weight skill to increase the carry weight to 99kg. If you have the skill and it is still not working please inform me.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in the code but when I started the game fresh with mod installed all tracking for animals seem to go away. Then when you start the vanilla version w/o the tracking comes back. Just something I noticed with this
It happens to me rarely. I am not sure if it is related to the mod. Most probably about game. You can go to game settings and turn on tracking (actually turn off no tracking). Also the same thing happens with vsync...time to time it is turned off by itself....
I have confirmed its related to the mod. when you delete(or rename) player_skills.bin under settings/hp_settings the problem goes away. I've been trying to tweak the binary myself to no avail
I didn't try to do something like that. But, there are a few files you can work on under: editor entities hp_weapons ammunition. I don't know how to get the files without deca tool. You can try one of the older mods (Ammo class changes and powerup). Maybe it still works...
I've tried many things the only way I can stop COTW from crashing at launch is to delete the sub folder (ammunition). I use Modbuilder and love it but I don't see the Guy any more. anyway thanks happy new year ...
