Remove the Modern Story Teller, Dear Villagers, and Amuzio videos that play before the game starts. This saves about 22 seconds in total.
Extract the contents of Skip Intro Videos into your root game directory (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Forgotten City). You will be asked to replace 3 files. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Forgotten City\ModernStoryteller01\Content\Movies and back them up by throwing the 3 MP4 files into a new folder. Then
