as for bugfixes etc. currently no (due to my limited knowledge of creating mods for the forest) as for rebalancing or something like that yes, however I don't feel like it and I don't currently play the forest although you're right I shouldn't call it "continued" because I'm only changing skillpoints
I can recommend searching about it on youtube there are several videos about it I can also give you this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtVYPd6pYEg&t=136s
I'm using the ModAPI version and I suspect this is a shared bug. The mod creates a text file where it stores your data here: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Forest\Mods\Singleplayer\(Slot1, Slot2, Slot3 etc.)\PlayerUpgradePointsData.txt
However, the slot references are screwed up i.e. if I save into Slot 2 in the game, it writes the file into Slot 1 in the folders (they are all shuffled). What this means is that when you load your game, it will read the stats file from a different save slot.
My dummy workaround is to take whichever text file is the most recent / highest level and copy it into all the save slots in the folders prior to loading. This way, no matter which slot I load, I am getting my latest level. Obviously, an ideal solution would be to fix the offset so the file saves into the right save slot.
Anyone else had the host player (multiplayer) lose all exp/levels after reloading a game after shutting it down? My friends who ran with me and joined my game maintained all their levels, but mine have been lost, and lost again after reloading and leveling up a second time
