One thing i know about bad fps is Global illumination in this game, find a way to dissable it and there will be great performance gain. I am talking about GI lightning setting which is the most bottom section under ingame's graphics settings.
Man this is brilliant, I tried it on my Gtx 1050 2gb, it went from 2-4fps to 13-15fps. Please don't stop working on it i wanna play it on 24+ fps. Btw I really recommend this.
I have tried it with Lossless scaling but it get more laggy instead of generating extra frames maybe because of my ram (10gb), Btw i tweaked a little bit in engine.ini file and got 30 to 40 fps on 1366×768 with Fsr2 on NATIVE!!!, and the game was looking good. I will tell you the settings i further tweaked. (1) foliage.CullAll=0 "was 1 by default" (2) r.ShadowQuality=0 "was 1 by default" (3) r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=1 (0 is highest and 4 is lowest and there was only 2 fps difference for me in 1 and 4 but the quality improved alot).
try disabling shadows and dropping more options (in the description), tweak it to your liking, i noticed when i disabled shadows the game did not lose fidelity much but gave 5-7 more FPS. that is due to shadows and lighting being incorporated thru the new GI lighting system, therefore shadows and reflections can be disabled in the Engine.ini file to get more fps, use lossless scaling or dlss enabler to add more, i went from 20-25 fps native to 60+ all the time using this mod and lossless scaling.
EDIT: If youre getting 40 fps on 768p, use lossless scaling to upscale it to 1080p with frame gen, and lock ur game fps to 30, because lossless always eats 8-10 fps. so to leave room for it, lock fps to 30, use fsr3 to balanced, screen resolution to 70% and then use frame gen + LS1 upscaling on lossless set to performance.
