Hey there! As I'm running Fedora 40 (RX7600) I had to wing the installation a bit. But unfortunately I can't get it activated. I proceeded as follows: I copied the files from step 1 to "steamapps/common/The Ascent"(= where the .exe is located), then used winetricks to import EnableSignatureOverride.reg and applied steam launch option, but DLSS stays greyed out.
PSA to people using RDNA 3 cards. Download the RDNA 2 Version of the FSR Patcher. The Non-RDNA 2 Version will lead to artifacts. Maybe the Mod author can update the description when they have the time. :)
a little OT: I was just wondering - does the DLL work on Unreal Engine 4/5 powered games only? I've been trying to force it on Unity (which also supports FSR 1 and DLSS - via nvngx_dlss.dll) forcing DX12 but I keep getting crashes as the games (and also the actual Unity editor) keep crashing :/
hello, i dont understand why it dont work for me, i have a rx 6700xt, the latest version 72946(build 9339875) put -dx12 and dx12 un the game option but dlss stil greyed.
i put it in the wrong folder, thanks xD but now with dlss activated the game crash when monster use a ground smash attack.. do you have any idea on what is the problem?
Did someone manage to make this mod work on the Microsoft Game Pass version of the game?
I tried without success to add the mod in the following folder: \XboxGames\The Ascent\Content\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64
I also tried to add my own folder named Win64 here, didn't work either: \XboxGames\The Ascent\Content\TheAscent\Binaries\Win64
Thanks for you quick reply Goghor! Too bad, Gonna write a short suggestion to Microsoft support, the Game Pass is cool, but not supporting reshades and useful mods like this one is a serious downside.
I noticed that you changed "r.NGX.DLSS.DilateMotionVectors = 0" to "r.NGX.DLSS.DilateMotijavascript-event-stripped0".. I tried this and the graphical glitches came back... that setting doesn't seem to work. I'm using official steam version 72946.
still image: great quality in motion: great quality on top left corner of the screen the rest of the screen is blurry (in motion) looks like "ghosting" effect
6800XT, Win 10, Driver version 22.5.1, Screen Resolution 3440x1440, game version 72946 (Cracked steam version) UE4 Ghosting/Flickering Fixes: done latest mode version

The ingame DLSS menu remains greyed.
