Thank you for the mod, I've really enjoyed the new portraits. I was wondering where did you get the ground pictures (grass/stone characters stand on) for the characters. I'm trying to create some of my own portraits, but I want them to be on a ground.
Hi there I loaded the existing Thea 2 character artworks into Photoshop, cut out the characters and using the programs copy section and paste followed by either blurring or blending I filled in the spaces where the characters were standing. It's not perfect and in some of them it does look pretty basic since before this project I've never used Photoshop before.

Not sure if you'll see this, but is there a reason why all the other children were removed? When I start a new game I usually make myself a child, but only 2 are available now, an apprentice archer child and an apprentice warrior child? They are cute but I grew attached to one of the children avatars that I always use. I'll check back here later to see if you are able to reply. But until then I can't use the mod, thank you though for doing this!
Hi there I had removed the other artworks from the apprentice children because I wanted them to look like they were actually apprentices of their supposed trade (warrior and hunter) which none of the original human children look like.
But I do have the solution for you. Once you download and put Custom Character Images in the correct location download the following... https://ufile.io/kaycuwaz And extract this into the mod folder. It will replace the human file and add back all the original human child artworks to the apprentice children so they will have both the new images and the original images so you can play with one of the apprentices as your desired artwork still.
I installed and activated the mod the way it is described. However, I still have th old images. It doesn't matter if I start a new game or an already started game. I have also installed the 'Unofficial Patch' and 'healing kits to Thea' mods. The latter ones definately works. Is there anything else to activate/deactivate? I run the game on linux with wine, but it works really flawless.
I'm afraid I can't think of anything else besides download, extract into correct location, activate and then restart the game. That's the exact process.
Thank you for making this mod. Can't go back to a Thea 2 without this mod! Some suggestions for future additions: Hellhound pictures that aren't just a bies with red aura added, more variety for subrace_dragon, subrace_blue_dragon, and subrace_unliving_dragon, more variety for bats and other creatures that only have 1 new picture so far.

The description page tells you where to extract the downloaded *.rar file or is there something else because I can't think of anything
I'll jot down those subraces and take a look some artwork. I'm always on the look out for more artwork.
