  Sounds odd- Could possibly be a bug caused by a newer update.
  Follow the readme to the point and please report it as a bug if still not working.
  I'll have a look into it.

  It completely bugged and instead of going up to down, it went left to right. The levels completely went off screen

  ok I reinstalled it and I realized, the mod itself is fine but if you run hook_modloader.bat with it, then it bugs out

When I download it it appears as a .rar file rather than a folder. Is this on purpose? If this isn't on purpose, what do I do to get the folder?

  Yes that is intentional, as i've not yet received permission from any map authors, to use their levels in my download. Though you can download and import up to 45 levels manually.
