I used the mod from the original post and added the animated cards mod. It's just a matter of copying and pasting, as mentioned in the author's previous post. And it worked
One of my favorite card texture replacers, despite the minor flaws of the simplistic implementation. I might eventually try to combine it with other overhaul mods for a fuller experience. :D
Through trial and error while using Vortex, I've deduced how all these mods work in conjunction. In case anyone else is troubleshooting their installation, what I've learned may clear up some confusion:
Simply put, this mod only has 2 parts: config-files for text on cards and textures for images on cards. Those 2 parts work independently of each other without a plugin.dll of their own, and rely on the other mod plugins to function (one of them is simply included in this download for ease of use).
Art Expander - There are no animated assets in this (NIKKE) mod's files and therefore is entirely irrelevant. The holographic sparkle/shimmer/shine you see while using NIKKE are all defaults of the base game. There should be no effect whether you install this mod or not.
Texture Replacer is only responsible for textures/images, not the text/names on cards in any way.
More Card Expansions is only being used here to modify the text, primarily names on cards, through the config ini files - apparently nothing else. If you don't have another mod that adds custom expansion sets, you will also see the default MCE Fantasy/CatJob/Megabot card packs, available for unlocking in the phone menu. If you haven't bought these unlocks in game (lvl 40<), I believe you should only see the NIKKE cards.
In-game Configuration:
In the TCGShopExpansionMod config menu (from the MCE mod above) only the 2nd-to-last option should be enabled: Enable custom configs for original expansions (nothing else in this TCGSE menu enabled).
Without a dedicated plugin, the TCGSE mod treats this mod's card-name/text/config.ini as custom but the Texture Replacer mod deems the card images as originalnot custom. Therefore, enabling custom images anywhere in the TCGSE menu will default to the backup of the original cards included in the MCE mod. However, you do want the custom configs enabled. i.e. custom images on play tables should be disabled to see what this mod considers 'original images'. (Alternatively, if you copy the contents of the custom folder into the original folder, then all the config options can be considered 'original' to avoid having to confusingly mix custom/original options in the config menu).
The Texture Replacer mod menu is more straightforward and should reflect the outcome of what you see (although I found it difficult to understand the simplistic wording of its options at first). To be brief, you want all card types (normal, full, ghost) and their Stats and Name text to be replaced/enabled, but the rest is mostly optional. I opted to keep all Description Text enabled, but disable all Play Effect options and the Evolves Box as well.
Unfortunately, there is still an unavoidable conflict with the evolution icon replacement and the image/texture overlapping, which you can even see some examples of in the mod pictures above.
My bepInEx doesn't have a TCGShopExpansionMod folder like you show in the pictures. Everything else about the mod worked right away and looks great though. I just installed the game 2 days ago and your mod yesterday. But I love Nikke so I love this mod regardless lol
Ok, https://www.nexusmods.com/tcgcardshopsimulator/mods/48 is not listed in your drop down list of required mods. What's in that drop down list and what you list manually below that differ on one mod. I downloaded the ones you had in the drop down list and didn't see your list below were different. Just added the More Card Expansions mod and now TCGShopExpansionMod shows up. I'm not sure if the name problem I had is the same as others, but you might get less complaints if you fix that drop down list to reflect the actual needed mods 😀 Love the mod, thank you.
How the hell do I uninstall this s#*!!? I couldn't get it to work through mod manager so did it manually and now I can't get it to go away I like all the extra stuff but the cards and deck boxes from Agame's mod are way better imo and I'd rather not sacrifice those. I reinstalled the game and reinstalled the texture replace but it won't go away!
So I did everything right in the settings and setting it up but I can only see the card skins. Now when I look in the shop I see all the skins, but when I buy the product I don't see the texture. I need help plz.
Works like a charm for the most part. Only had issues getting the NPC to actually use the cards/playmats. Any tips on getting that to function? Settings are as described for TCGShopExpansionMod and Texture Replacer.
so i have installed and messed with the menu as you have said it and the game still looks vanilla. i did a fresh reinstall aswell and i dont know whats wrong. please help!
