I'm using the SEPERATED FILES to customise my expierence, i noticed the reduced inventory space / reduced hotbar mod is not included in the folder, is that bundled into one of the other .pak file? The README doesn't state which .pak thats included in.
Do you know if enemy difficulty level 1 disables reinforcements? I'm running the item randomizer and infinite reinforcements from the separated mods list (mainly because I like the pickup and use animations) and am not getting Exec bot spawns...which I need to farm them to try and get an Interface Demodulator. Last run I was absolutely swimming in Demodulators, now I can't find one. Running around both Executive and Maintenance to find Exec bots and Sec 1 bots, and no new ones are spawning in.
Edit: Started a new run today also on enemy difficulty 1 and no infinite reinforcements mod, and still cannot find one for the life of me.
Reading the description I noticed you mentioned that this is not a true randomizer. What would a true randomizer for this game look like?
Edit: After playing through the item randomizer a couple days ago and started a new game today, I now have the craving for a mod that shuffles enemies and maybe even shuffle Cyberspace.
Since this is just a .pak mod, there's no additional randomization beyond what the game already provides. For example, the game itself already has a loot table system, random drop system, and a snacktron slot selection system, which all pretty much serve as the basis of this mod as I worked around those features. All of the changes to the game here are essentially static, but I think that this was a pretty good attempt at making the game feel somewhat random.
With a true randomizer - like a UE4SS script or maybe a program you'd use before/during each run - you'd have the luxury of runtime (or pre-run at least) logic. Maybe drop tables can be adjusted or shuffled before each run or while the game is running. Pre-placed items could probably be changed on the fly, instead of being deleted. Enemy randomization would also be definitely possible, something I'd love to see too. There's probably a ton of interesting things you can do when you're not restricted to just changing files with a pak mod.
Sorry for the late response, I stopped checking Nexus around the start of March and thought you left because the SSR modding community is a bit dead. Hopefully, one day, someone could make a mod that randomizes enemy spawns (with respect for the level like the SS2 randomizer). Doubtful, but we can hope.
I LOVE this mod and all the hard work you've done. That being said there's one big issue I have with it. Hardcore Ironman on highest combat is poorly balanced as the enemies do way too much damage.
I'm more than halfway through the game now but I have to play so carefully and slow that its starting to take the fun out. I like the concept of infinite respawning enemies, but sometimes I'm doing some inventory management and an enemy spawns near me and melts me at full HP before I have a chance to react. I think 400% is just too high. 200-250% damage would be a good threshold. Also, if random or at least remixed enemy placement is possible, that would be amazing. Again thank you!
"Yeah, it's not really a true randomizer, but if any interest is shown in one then I'll probably make it unless someone beats me to it." There is a plan to do it ?
Sorry sir, I think the new mini patch broke the mod again: Patch 1.2.18890 (causes Fatal Error on game launch)
>>>EDIT 1 1 - Hi, I downgraded the game to patch 1.2.18870. It then starts OK; so its the new patch for sure that causing the crash.
2 - I tested out the Experimental version of the mod. Its working OK except there is a crash at the Executive Diego Fight (when he spawns). I used the non-exp mod to get past the spawn/fight and then used the exp mod from then on. Here is the crash detail:
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line:1334] Failed to find function SetCanStaggerDamage in PAWN_Diego_v1_C /Game/Maps/Main/06_Executive_Interacts.06_Executive_Interacts:PersistentLevel.PAWN_Diego_v1_SPAWN_49
>>>EDIT 2 There is a similar crash in Diego fight 3 (security). I swap to the regular ironman file to get past it and then replace it with the experimental one afterward. I haven't tested Deigo fight 2 (I always skip it lol).
I'm getting the same diego crash when using standard ironman with GOG v1.2.18898 version. Any change to fix it? I tried using all different mod variants, but the game still crashes.
As of the mod, I'm really enjoying it. I like the fact that I can't never be sure what I will find on the enemy when looting. For this round I got really lucky and got plasma rifle at the very beginning, in the research level from a Maintenance Bot.
Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for confirming that this still exists, I figured it was the game update a few months ago that caused it but it was something else. I (hopefully) found the problem and uploaded new versions (1.313) that should fix the issue, let me know if anything else goes wrong.

Thanks for trying this out, hope you enjoyed it.
