   EDIT: (Kind of related as it seems to be an overlay) Does anyone know how the get rid of the horrific "out-of-focus-dust" overlay that is constantly on the screen?

      If you open Engine.ini located here: %UserProfile%\Saved Games\Nightdive Studios\SystemShock\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini
      
      You can add these lines to the bottom of the file, make sure the game is closed or it will revert the changes.
      
      [SystemSettings]
r.BloomQuality=0

      This will remove the effect you're referring to at the cost of ambient light.

   Could you also get rid of the similar effects for other patches (i.e. beserk) ?
