Hey, how do i have to install the mods? Thx... Just copying files does not seem to work, i dont have an obj folder in my game folder or anything equal. (edit: i ll download SS2Tool, maybe that will help)
I'm assuming you're using the Steam/GoG release. Go download SS2Tool from here, point it towards your install folder and it'll update the game with the newdark version and install the mod manager as well. After that, click on ss2bmm and after that click "Install Mod Archive" under "File" on the right hand side, and open the zip file with the mod. After that, double click the mod in the list to activated it, make sure it says "active" next to the filename, and then click "Apply Changes" under "Game" on the right hand side.
Do that with any and all mods you get. Works like a charm.
Posting this even tho it's a year later, cause it was kinda hard to find all this out on my own. Had to look around in weird forums for it, since any links I found were dead. Hope it helps someone. ?

Any reason these aren't on systemshock.org? Also can't seam to get the muzzle flash or explosions to work, turret skins work but only with new game.
EDIT: never mind, the turret skin only works on the MG ones and muzzle flash is incompatible with SCP's version. The explosion animation didn't work because of the gamesys.dml, it appears incomplete.
I was mainly talking about the Security Doors, Turret Muzzle flash/smoke and shell, and Better Explosions. But I now see they're available at this thread: https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4185.0 It's worth noting there are some issues with the explosions, for me only the electric discharge version shows.
Its been 8 or 9 years since i worked on this, it worked back then (see video). I don't remember much from when i did it or why its needs the additions in the DML...
